Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,594 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 374 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway at ENBR Bergen Airport, Flesland. This process took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 17, taking off with a takeoff distance of 962 meters, which accounted for 39% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 154 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius and wind speeds of 6 knots at 210 degrees. The crosswind was 4 knots, and the headwind was 5 knots. After taking off, the aircraft began its enroute climb, starting overhead Flesland. During this climb, the aircraft ascended from 1,154 feet above sea level to 4,986 feet above sea level, an increase of 3,832 feet in just 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles southwest of Krokeide, lasting 2 minutes and covering 7 nautical miles. However, the aircraft soon began another enroute climb, this time starting 4 miles northeast of Bekkjarvik. During this climb, the aircraft ascended from 5,813 feet above sea level to 25,122 feet above sea level, an increase of 19,308 feet in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 78 nautical miles.
As the aircraft continued its journey, it began its enroute descent, starting 12 miles southwest of Geilo. During this descent, the aircraft descended from 25,230 feet above sea level to 9,645 feet above sea level, a decrease of 15,585 feet in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 72 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise, starting 2 miles west of Sundvollen and lasting 7 minutes, covering 17 nautical miles.
However, the aircraft soon began its final descent, starting 2 miles west of Nesoddtangen. During this descent, the aircraft descended from 9,065 feet above sea level to 1,941 feet above sea level, a decrease of 7,123 feet in 6 minutes, covering a distance of 21 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 01L at ENGM Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, was made from the south, heading 16.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,259 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 01L was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 129 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown distance was good at 376 meters, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius and wind speeds of 5 knots at 80 degrees. The crosswind was 5 knots, and the headwind was 2 knots. The total landing distance was 1,149 meters, which accounted for 32% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, and the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway in just 2 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight distance was 208 nautical miles, taking 53 minutes to complete, and the aircraft used 476 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 01L at ENGM Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, with a score of 97.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 16.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,259 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft touched down on the runway with a good touchdown distance of 376 meters.
The threshold height at 58 feet agl was slightly above the target, but the threshold speed was satisfactory at 134 knots. The touchdown speed of 129 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -373 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, indicating a controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's skill and attention to detail.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 6°C and a wind speed of 5 knots at 80°. The crosswind component was 5 knots, while the headwind component was 2 knots. These conditions presented a moderate challenge for the pilot, but the aircraft's performance and the pilot's expertise ensured a safe and successful landing.
The total landing distance of 1,149 meters was 32% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability during the landing roll. Overall, the landing was executed with precision and skill, resulting in a high score of 97.2%.
