MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,993 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 434 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at UTSB Bukhara International Airport. This process took approximately 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 19, with a takeoff distance of 523 meters, which accounted for 17% of the runway's length. The liftoff speed was 110 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions, with a temperature of 31 degrees Celsius and winds blowing at 19 knots from a direction of 330 degrees. The crosswind component was 12 knots, while the tailwind component was 14 knots. After departing from the airport, the aircraft began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south of the airport and rising from an altitude of 1,779 feet above sea level to 6,555 feet above sea level. This climb, which covered a distance of 6 nautical miles, took 4 minutes and involved an increase of 4,776 feet in altitude.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft began its enroute descent, starting 5 miles north of the airport and descending from 6,543 feet above sea level to 2,574 feet above sea level. This descent, which covered a distance of 9 nautical miles, took 3 minutes and involved a decrease of 3,969 feet in altitude. The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, starting 9 miles southwest of G'ijduvon Shahri and lasting 4 minutes, during which it covered a distance of 10 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached the airport, it began its final approach to runway 19 from the north, heading in a direction of 190.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,225 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The aircraft landed on the runway, with a touchdown distance of 431 meters, which was considered good. The touchdown speed was 87 knots, and the touchdown rate was -176 feet per minute, both of which were also considered good. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 4.0 meters.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and winds blowing at 22 knots from a direction of 337 degrees. The crosswind component was 12 knots, while the tailwind component was 19 knots. The total landing distance was 828 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The total flight distance was 31 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 15 minutes. Notably, the aircraft used no fuel during the flight.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation successfully landed at UTSB Bukhara International Airport, achieving a score of 96.7%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north, heading 190.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,225 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the local weather conditions.
The temperature at the time of landing was 30°C, with a wind speed of 22 knots blowing from 337°. This resulted in a crosswind of 12 knots and a tailwind of 19 knots. Despite these challenging conditions, the pilot maintained control of the aircraft and executed a smooth touchdown on runway 19, which has a length of 2,993 meters.
The threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 100 knots, but the touchdown speed of 87 knots was well within the acceptable range. The touchdown distance of 431 meters was also good, indicating that the pilot had sufficient control over the aircraft's descent. The touchdown rate of -176 feet per minute (fpm) was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's rate of descent.
However, there was a slight misalignment of the runway touchdown position, with the aircraft touching down 4.0 meters off the centerline. This may have been due to the crosswind or other factors, but it did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing.
The total landing distance of 828 meters was 28% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This indicates that the pilot had sufficient control over the aircraft's descent and rollout, and was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and safely. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the Cessna CJ4 Citation's landing at UTSB Bukhara International Airport was a success, with the pilot executing a precise and controlled approach and touchdown. The slight misalignment of the runway touchdown position was the only notable issue, but it did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing.
