Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,441 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 446 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 01L at ENGM Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, with a takeoff distance of 143 meters, which accounted for 4% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 160 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 12°C temperature and a wind speed of 5 knots at 200°. The crosswind was negligible, but there was a tailwind of 5 knots. The enroute climb started over Gardermoen, with the aircraft ascending from 1,682 feet above sea level to 27,034 feet above sea level, a total increase of 25,352 feet in 15 minutes, covering a distance of 90 nautical miles.
After reaching cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 2 minutes and covered 13 nautical miles, starting 19 miles southwest of ENDI Geilo Airport Dagali Dagali. However, this phase was short-lived, as the enroute descent began 20 miles southeast of Eidfjord, with the aircraft descending from 27,339 feet above sea level to 1,468 feet above sea level, a total decrease of 25,871 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 70 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 17 at ENBR Bergen Airport, Flesland, was made from the north, with the aircraft heading 171.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,299 feet above ground level. The landing was executed on runway 17, which had a length of 2,441 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 138 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 447 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 136 knots, and the touchdown rate was fair at -268 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 meters from the centreline, and the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 11.5 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were the same as during takeoff, with a temperature of 12°C and a wind speed of 5 knots at 200°. The crosswind was 3 knots, and there was a headwind of 5 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,087 meters, which accounted for 45% of the runway. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 181 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 49 minutes. The aircraft used a total of -651 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at ENBR Bergen Airport, Flesland, with a score of 95.1%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north, heading 171.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,299 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 17, which has a length of 2,441 meters.
The landing was executed with a slightly above-target threshold speed of 138 knots. The touchdown distance was good, measuring 447 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 136 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -268 feet per minute (fpm). The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 3.1 meters.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 12°C and a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 200°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the headwind component was 5 knots. These conditions did not appear to significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance was 1,087 meters, which is 45% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned from the centreline by 11.5 meters. Despite these minor deviations, the landing was deemed successful, with a score of 95.1%.
