Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,094 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 271 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an EasyJet FWB, then departed from runway 30L at the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (KMSP). The takeoff distance was 1,430 meters, which accounted for 47% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 146 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 239 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 9 knots and a headwind of 5 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile east of Richfield, Minnesota, and ascended from an altitude of 1,864 feet above sea level to 36,559 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,695 feet, in 21 minutes and covering a distance of 124 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise phase of the flight started overhead the Worthington Municipal Airport (KOTG) in Worthington, Minnesota, and lasted for 178 minutes, covering a distance of 1,098 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 2 miles northwest of the Niland Airport (KNII) in Niland, California, and descended from an altitude of 37,289 feet above sea level to 1,486 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,804 feet, in 24 minutes and covering a distance of 105 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27 at the San Diego International Airport (KSAN) was made from the east, heading 287.0 degrees, at an altitude of 1,453 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 249 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 3 knots. The aircraft landed on runway 27, which had a length of 2,094 meters, and the touchdown speed was 123 knots, which was good. The touchdown distance was 269 meters, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -75 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also very good. The total landing distance was 1,160 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway. The aircraft then taxied to the parking from the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,335 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 236 minutes. The aircraft used 7,702 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The FWB EasyJet aircraft successfully landed at San Diego International Airport (KSAN) on runway 27, achieving a high score of 99.1%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 287.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,453 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the local weather conditions.
The temperature at the time of landing was 12°C, with a relatively calm wind of 4 knots at 249°. This resulted in a minimal crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 3 knots, which did not pose a significant challenge to the pilot. The aircraft's speed and altitude were well-managed, with a threshold speed of 127 knots and a good threshold height.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was 123 knots, which was within the acceptable range. The touchdown distance of 269 meters was also good, indicating that the pilot had maintained control and precision throughout the landing. The touchdown rate of -75 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, demonstrating a smooth and controlled descent.
The aircraft's alignment with the runway during touchdown was very good, and the rollout alignment after touchdown was also excellent. The total landing distance of 1,160 meters was 55% of the runway length, which is a reasonable and safe distance. Overall, the FWB EasyJet aircraft's landing at KSAN was a successful and well-executed operation, with the pilot demonstrating high levels of skill and precision.
