Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,711 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,711 m of the 2,090 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 825 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna Longitude, then departed from runway 18 at KTME Houston Executive Airport. The takeoff distance was 771 meters, which accounted for 38% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 141 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 8 knots at 138 degrees. The crosswind was 5 knots, and the headwind was 6 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile south of KTME Houston Executive Airport, where the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,186 feet above sea level to 43,952 feet above sea level, an increase of 42,766 feet in 17 minutes, covering a distance of 84 nautical miles.
After the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 2 miles north of Bloomington, Texas. This cruise phase lasted for 93 minutes, covering a distance of 625 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, which started 1 mile southwest of MMYJ Aerofumigaciones Puerto Rico Airport Navolato, Mexico. The descent from 43,511 feet above sea level to 10,958 feet above sea level, a decrease of 32,552 feet in 24 minutes, covered a distance of 144 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 5 miles east of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. This cruise phase lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent again, which started 9 miles south of San Jose del Cabo. The descent from 10,810 feet above sea level to 4,050 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,760 feet in 5 minutes, covered a distance of 18 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 7 miles south of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This cruise phase lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, which started 8 miles west of Colonia del Sol, Mexico. The descent from 3,796 feet above sea level to 784 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,012 feet in 4 minutes, covered a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 11 at MMSL Cabo San Lucas International Airport was made from the west, heading 115.0 degrees at 0 nautical miles and 133 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 11 was made with a threshold speed that was too high at 128 knots. The touchdown point was 400 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 105 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -378 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 12.8 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 18.9 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 31 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 5 knots at 200 degrees. The crosswind was 5 knots, and the headwind was 1 knot. The total landing distance was 1,620 meters, which accounted for 78% of the runway.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking from the runway, which took less than 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 901 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 157 minutes. The aircraft used 2,255 kilograms
The Cessna Longitude aircraft successfully landed at MMSL Cabo San Lucas International Airport, but with some areas for improvement. The final approach was initiated from the west, heading 115.0° at 0 nm and 133 ft above ground level (agl), and the aircraft touched down on runway 11. The runway length at the airport is 2,090 meters, providing a sufficient margin for the aircraft to land safely.
However, there were some issues with the landing performance. The threshold speed was too high at 128 kt, which may have contributed to the touchdown point being 400 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed of 105 kt was also a little fast, and the touchdown rate was firm at -378 fpm, indicating a relatively hard landing. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 12.8 meters from the centreline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the approach or during the landing roll.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 31°C and a light wind of 5 kt at 200°. The crosswind component was 5 kt, while the headwind component was 1 kt, which may have contributed to the slight deviation in the runway touchdown position. The total landing distance was 1,620 meters, which is 78% of the runway length, indicating a relatively long landing roll.
During the rollout, the aircraft was misaligned by 18.9 meters from the centreline, which may have been due to a combination of factors, including the initial deviation in the touchdown position and the aircraft's response to the brakes. Overall, while the landing was successful, there are areas for improvement in terms of speed management, touchdown position, and rollout alignment.
