MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,827 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,827 m of the 3,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 411 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving a landing score of 93.7%! While there were some areas for improvement, overall it was a strong performance.
During the Approach Phase, you maintained good glideslope alignment which is crucial for a smooth landing. Although your speed was slightly above target, it's still within an acceptable range.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, the threshold height being above target indicates that you were a bit high upon approach. Additionally, the poor landing flare suggests that there was room for improvement in your technique. However, it's important to note that these are common challenges that pilots face and with practice, you can work on improving them.
In the Touchdown Phase, while the touchdown rate was heavy, it's great to see that your speed was on target. Furthermore, landing within the touchdown zone and achieving a very good touchdown position on the runway are signs of progress.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, achieving very good runway alignment is commendable and shows your ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the landing rollout.
Overall, this analysis provides valuable feedback on your landing performance. Celebrate your successes, but also use this feedback to focus on areas that need improvement. With dedication and practice, you can continue to enhance your skills and strive for even higher landing scores in the future. Keep up the great work!
