Flight Score
Smooth the climb
Pull to 15 degrees at one rate and you get a clean liftoff, pull to the same 15 degrees at twice the rate and you get an overshoot, a push, and an oscillation through the first few hundred feet. The type-general rule of thumb is a rotation rate of about 2 to 3 degrees per second, which means roughly five to seven seconds from starting the pull to reaching the initial climb attitude of around 15 degrees nose-up. Count it out loud during your next takeoff and you will almost certainly discover you have been rotating in two seconds flat.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,984 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,035 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Miami International Airport, taking 11 minutes and covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 08R, with a takeoff distance of 4,723 feet, which was 45% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 147 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of a temperature of 77°F and a wind speed of 2 knots at 160°. The crosswind was 1 knot, and the headwind was 0 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile southwest of Brownsville, Florida, and the aircraft climbed from 1,016 feet above sea level to 12,029 feet, an increase of 11,013 feet in 6 minutes, covering a distance of 19 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles northwest of Pine Island Ridge, Florida, and lasted 11 minutes, covering a distance of 70 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, this time from 12,929 feet to 35,154 feet, an increase of 22,225 feet in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 98 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 3 miles south of Mount Plymouth, Florida, and lasted 28 minutes, covering a distance of 206 nautical miles.
As the aircraft continued its journey, it encountered a change in weather conditions, with a temperature of 52°F and a wind speed of 6 knots at 341°. The crosswind was 6 knots, and the headwind was 2 knots. The enroute descent started 6 miles south of Glenwood, Georgia, and the aircraft descended from 34,876 feet to 21,057 feet, a decrease of 13,819 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 61 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles northwest of 31GE Tailwind Ranch Airport Gordon, Georgia, and lasted 4 minutes, covering a distance of 20 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 8 miles east of GA76 Broken Ranch Airport Forsyth, Georgia, and the aircraft descended from 21,063 feet to 5,570 feet, a decrease of 15,493 feet in 6 minutes, covering a distance of 30 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 6 miles south of Conyers, Georgia, and lasted 4 minutes, covering a distance of 9 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 3 miles northwest of 8GA0 Pinetree Heliport Cumming, Georgia, and the aircraft descended from 4,905 feet to 2,282 feet, a decrease of 2,623 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26R at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport took place from the east, with a heading of 270.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,256 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 26R, which had a length of 8,984 feet. The threshold height was slightly above the target, but the threshold speed was good at 137 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 1,040 feet, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 131 knots. The touchdown rate was very hard at -580 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The total landing distance was 2,207 feet, which was 25% of the runway length.
The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 7 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 26R at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) with a score of 96.1%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 270.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,256 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft touched down on the runway with a touchdown distance of 1,040 feet, which is within the acceptable range.
The threshold height at 56 feet agl was slightly above the target, but the threshold speed of 137 knots was good. The touchdown speed of 131 knots was a little fast, but this did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing. The touchdown rate of -580 feet per minute (fpm) was very hard, indicating a high rate of descent, but this was likely due to the aircraft's configuration and the pilot's intentions.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 52°F and a wind speed of 6 knots from 341°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 2 knots. These conditions did not pose a significant challenge to the landing, and the aircraft's performance was not affected by the wind.
The total landing distance of 2,207 feet was 25% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop quickly and efficiently after touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the landing.
Overall, the Airbus A320's landing on runway 26R at KATL was a successful operation, with a high score of 96.1%. The aircraft's performance was good, and the pilot's skills were demonstrated through precise control and efficient use of the runway.
