Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,207 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 185 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 03R at KPRC Prescott International Airport - Ernest A. Love Field. The DA62 aircraft took off with a takeoff distance of 429 meters, which accounted for 19% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 77 knots, indicating a smooth and controlled takeoff.
As the aircraft climbed out of the airport, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 10 knots at 47 degrees. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 9 knots. The enroute climb started approximately 1 mile south of the airport, where the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 6,122 feet above sea level to 6,240 feet, an increase of 118 feet in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 4 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. This phase of the flight was initiated 3 miles south of the airport.
As the aircraft approached the airport for landing, it began its final approach to runway 03R from the southwest, heading at 41.0 degrees at an altitude of 160 feet above ground level. The landing was executed with a threshold speed that was slightly below the target speed of 79 knots, at 70 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 183 meters, and the touchdown rate was also good at -195 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also excellent. The total landing distance was 547 meters, which accounted for 25% of the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were similar to those encountered during takeoff, with a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 9 knots at 55 degrees. The crosswind component was 2 knots, while the headwind component was 9 knots.
The total flight distance was 7 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 7 minutes. The aircraft used a total of -10 kilograms of fuel during the flight. Overall, the flight was executed smoothly and efficiently, with good control and minimal fuel consumption.
The DA62 aircraft successfully landed at KPRC Prescott International Airport - Ernest A. Love Field, showcasing exceptional piloting skills. The final approach to runway 03R was executed from the southwest, with a heading of 41.0° at 0 nm and 160 ft above ground level (agl). This precise approach allowed the aircraft to touch down safely on the runway.
The landing itself was notable for its good threshold height, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 79 kn, which was slightly below the target threshold speed. This indicates that the pilots were able to maintain control and precision throughout the approach. The touchdown distance of 183 m was also within acceptable limits, demonstrating the pilots' ability to navigate the aircraft smoothly onto the runway.
The touchdown speed of 70 kn was good, and the touchdown rate of -195 fpm was also within acceptable limits. This suggests that the pilots were able to maintain a stable and controlled descent, resulting in a safe and smooth landing. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilots were able to align the aircraft with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 16 °C and a wind speed of 9 kn at 55°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 kn, while the headwind component was 9 kn, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the approach. The total landing distance of 547 m was only 25% of the runway length, indicating that the pilots were able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently.
The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilots were able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase. Overall, this landing was a testament to the pilots' skill and experience, and it highlights the capabilities of the DA62 aircraft in a variety of weather conditions.
