Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,986 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 166 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight departed from Almería Airport, where the aircraft began its taxiing process from the parking area to the runway, taking approximately 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. Upon reaching the runway, the aircraft initiated its departure roll on runway 07, achieving liftoff at a speed of 82 kt after a takeoff distance of 571 meters, which accounted for 19% of the runway length.
As the aircraft climbed to its initial cruising altitude, it traversed various regions in southern Spain, including Andalusia and the Region of Murcia. The enroute climb phase began 2 miles east of Almería Airport, where the aircraft ascended from 1,131 ft to 9,905 ft in 9 minutes, covering 22 nautical miles. The flight then entered a series of level cruises, with notable segments occurring 4 miles northeast of Sorbas, 3 miles west of Cuevas del Almanzora, and 2 miles southwest of Albudeite. The aircraft also underwent several descent phases, including a notable descent from 9,980 ft to 9,083 ft in 2 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles, and a final descent from 8,012 ft to 4,330 ft in 3 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles.
The flight concluded with a final approach to runway 10 at Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, where the aircraft touched down at a speed of 63 kt, slightly above the recommended threshold speed. The touchdown distance was 165 meters, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, taking approximately 3 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 175 nautical miles, with a flight time of 77 minutes and a fuel consumption of 247 kg.
The final approach to runway 10 at LEAL Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport from the west was executed with precision, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 100.0° at 4 nm and 1,307 ft above ground level. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 64 kt, well within the acceptable range. The aircraft touched down at a distance of 165 m, which was within the expected parameters.
However, the touchdown speed of 63 kt was slightly above the ideal, resulting in a hard touchdown rate of -475 fpm. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 15 °C and a gentle tailwind of 1 kt, contributed to a smooth and controlled descent. The crosswind component was negligible, with a wind direction of 270° and a speed of 1 kt.
The total landing distance of 1,259 m was 42% of the runway length, indicating a good utilization of the available runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was executed with a high degree of precision and control, resulting in a score of 97.3%.
