Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,682 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 422 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
First of all, congratulations on achieving a landing score of 95.3%! This is a fantastic result and reflects the skill and precision with which you executed each phase of the landing process.
Starting with the Approach Phase, it's great to see that you had excellent glideslope alignment. This is crucial for ensuring a smooth and controlled descent towards the runway. While your speed was slightly above target, this is a minor detail that can easily be adjusted with practice.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, it's impressive that you maintained a good threshold height and executed a perfect landing flare. The landing flare is a critical moment in the landing process, and getting it right is essential for a successful touchdown.
In the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was good, and although your speed was above target, this didn't compromise the quality of your landing. It's also worth noting that your touchdown distance was inside the touchdown zone, which demonstrates your ability to accurately judge your position in relation to the runway. Additionally, landing just 10.4 meters from the centerline is a testament to your precision and control during touchdown.
Overall, your attention to detail and strong performance in each phase of the landing process have resulted in an outstanding score. Keep up the excellent work, and continue to hone your skills to achieve even greater success in future landings. Well done!
