MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,078 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 345 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking to the runway at LIRJ Marina Di Campo Airport, taking approximately 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 34, with a takeoff distance of 725 meters, which was 76% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 143 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 22°C, with a wind speed of 34 knots coming from a direction of 279°. This resulted in a crosswind of 30 knots and a headwind of 16 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile north of Campo nell'Elba, Italy, and climbing from an altitude of 879 feet above sea level to 29,199 feet above sea level, an increase of 28,320 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 65 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 33 miles south of Isola del Giglio, Italy, and lasted for 16 minutes, covering a distance of 154 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 62 miles northwest of Ustica, Sicily, and descending from 29,607 feet above sea level to 8,176 feet above sea level, a decrease of 21,432 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 69 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 10 miles south of Ustica, Sicily, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 4 miles south of Ustica, Sicily, and descending from 8,144 feet above sea level to 1,318 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,827 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 23 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 20 at LICJ Falcone-Borsellino Airport was made from the northeast, heading 204.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,271 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 20, which had a length of 2,078 meters. The threshold height was above the target, and the threshold speed was slightly above target at 127 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 344 meters, with a touchdown speed of 123 knots, which was fast. The touchdown rate was very hard at -559 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 24°C, with a wind speed of 17 knots coming from a direction of 190°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 17 knots.
The total landing distance was 756 meters, which was 36% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. Taxiing to the parking from the runway took approximately 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 323 nautical miles, taking 61 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,002 kilograms of fuel.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed at Falcone–Borsellino Airport, scoring 93.0% in its final approach and landing. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 204.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,271 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was executed on runway 20, which has a length of 2,078 meters.
Upon reaching the threshold, the aircraft's height was above the target, indicating a slightly higher than desired approach. The threshold speed was also slightly above the target, registering at 127 knots. However, the touchdown distance was satisfactory at 344 meters, demonstrating good control and precision during the landing.
The touchdown speed of 123 knots was slightly faster than the target, which may have contributed to the very hard touchdown rate of -559 feet per minute (fpm). Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-aligned with the runway during the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 24°C, with a wind speed of 17 knots from a direction of 190°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 17 knots, which may have affected the aircraft's approach and landing.
The total landing distance was 756 meters, accounting for 36% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance after touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating that the aircraft was well-controlled during the landing and rollout phases.
Overall, while there were some minor deviations from the target, the landing was executed with good precision and control, resulting in a score of 93.0%.
