Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,015 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,015 m of the 2,803 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 443 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight on the Boeing 737-800 began with a 6-minute taxi from the parking area to the runway at CYWG Winnipeg Intl. The departure roll on runway 31 covered a distance of 1,416 meters, accounting for 53% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 157 knots, with local weather conditions showing a temperature of 17°C and a 24-knot wind coming from 249°, resulting in a crosswind of 22 knots and a headwind of 9 knots.
The enroute climb started 1 mile northwest of CYWG Winnipeg Intl, climbing from 1,821 feet above sea level to 31,047 feet, reaching an altitude increase of 29,226 feet in 12 minutes and covering 131 nautical miles. The level cruise phase began 12 miles northeast of CYVD Virden and lasted for 30 minutes, covering 769 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 18 miles south of Merritt, descending from 32,450 feet asl to 3,148 feet asl, a total decrease of 29,302 feet in 13 minutes and covering 115 nautical miles. Another level cruise phase began 7 miles southwest of Gibsons and lasted 4 minutes, covering 11 nautical miles.
The landing on runway 08L at CYVR Vancouver Intl took place with a threshold height of 34 feet above ground level and a speed of 154 knots. The touchdown occurred 440 meters from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 148 knots and a vertical speed indicator reading of -284 feet per minute. The local weather at the time showed a temperature of 18°C and a 7-knot wind coming from 240°, resulting in a crosswind of 4 knots and a tailwind of 5 knots. The total landing distance was 1,939 meters, accounting for 69% of the runway length.
After landing, a 5-minute taxi from the runway to the parking area covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance from departure to landing was 1,036 nautical miles, lasting 77 minutes and consuming 8,172 kilograms of fuel.
First of all, congratulations on achieving an impressive aircraft landing score of 98.5%! Your performance throughout the various phases of landing showcases your proficiency as a pilot.
In the Approach Phase, your excellent glideslope alignment demonstrates your ability to maintain precision during the critical final descent towards the runway. Although your speed was slightly above target, this minor deviation did not affect the overall smoothness of your approach.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, your good threshold height and great landing flare indicate a high level of skill in judging the correct altitude for touchdown and executing a smooth transition to the runway surface. Despite a firm touchdown rate and slightly higher speed than desired, your ability to control the aircraft during this phase is commendable.
During the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and runway touchdown position being just 4.3 meters from the centreline reflect your precision in aligning the aircraft with the runway center. However, it is important to note that landing with a 5 knots tailwind poses a safety concern and should be avoided in future landings to ensure optimal control and stability.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, maintaining runway alignment within 4.3 meters from the centerline demonstrates your consistency in guiding the aircraft along the runway post-touchdown.
Overall, your landing performance is highly impressive, with strong points in glideslope alignment, touchdown precision, and runway alignment. Moving forward, strive to eliminate any deviations from target speeds and avoid landing with tailwinds to further enhance the safety and efficiency of your landings. Keep up the excellent work and continue refining your skills to further improve your already outstanding aircraft landing capabilities.
