MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,655 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,655 m of the 3,641 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 506 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from İstanbul Airport, the Airbus A350-900 began its journey on runway 35R, accelerating down the 1,399-meter stretch to reach liftoff speed of 151 knots. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 19°C and a gentle headwind of 9 knots. As the aircraft lifted off, it started its enroute climb, ascending from 1,290 feet above sea level to 40,000 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 199 nautical miles.
The climb phase concluded as the aircraft reached cruising altitude, and it continued on to its destination, London Heathrow Airport. The enroute level cruise phase lasted for 64 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 1,016 nautical miles. As the aircraft approached the European continent, it began its descent, reducing its altitude from 40,001 feet to 1,445 feet in 17 minutes, covering a distance of 145 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 27L at EGLL London Heathrow Airport was executed from the east, with the aircraft aligning itself with the runway at 4 nautical miles and 1,358 feet above ground level.
The Airbus A350-900 touched down on runway 27L, with a touchdown speed of 133 knots, slightly above the target speed. The touchdown point was 98 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.4 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,583 meters, accounting for 47% of the runway length. Following a smooth rollout, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, concluding its journey of 1,369 nautical miles, which took a total of 108 minutes and consumed 17,490 kilograms of fuel.
The aircraft touched down on runway 27L at EGLL London Heathrow Airport, a 3,345-meter long runway, after a final approach from the east. The approach quality was good, with a threshold height that met expectations. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 134 knots, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal landing conditions.
As the aircraft made contact with the runway, it touched down 98 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 133 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate of -258 feet per minute was fair, but not ideal. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 5.4 meters, which may have contributed to the slightly off-target touchdown speed. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 21 degrees Celsius and a light headwind of 2 knots, were generally favorable for the landing.
The aircraft's rollout was well-aligned with the centreline, demonstrating good control and stability during the critical phase of the landing. The total landing distance of 1,583 meters, which accounted for 47% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 96.6%, indicating a high level of proficiency and control.
