Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,033 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 293 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway at EDAH Heringsdorf Airport, taking approximately 6 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 10, with a takeoff distance of 1,038 meters, which is 45% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 141 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 8°C temperature and a wind speed of 6 knots at 310°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the tailwind was 5 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Kamminke, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, and reached an altitude of 23,637 feet above sea level (asl) in 8 minutes, covering a distance of 34 nautical miles. This represented an increase of 22,600 feet in altitude.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting 1 mile east of Gnevkow, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. This phase lasted for 11 minutes and covered a distance of 65 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent from 23,628 feet asl to 12,095 feet asl, a decrease of 11,533 feet in 10 minutes, covering 70 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise phase resumed 1 mile north of Stemmen, Lower Saxony, Germany, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its descent from 11,906 feet asl to 3,393 feet asl, a decrease of 8,513 feet in 5 minutes, covering 24 nautical miles. This was followed by another level cruise phase, starting 2 miles west of Lemwerder, Lower Saxony, Germany, which lasted for 2 minutes and covered 5 nautical miles.
The final descent phase began 2 miles south of Hude, Lower Saxony, Germany, and resulted in a decrease of 1,555 feet in altitude in 3 minutes, covering 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 09 at EDDW Bremen Airport from the west, heading 88.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,289 feet above ground level (agl).
The landing took place on runway 09 at EDDW Bremen Airport, which has a length of 2,033 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 120 knots. The touchdown distance was 291 meters, and the touchdown speed was 113 knots, both of which were good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -288 feet per minute (fpm). The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the local weather conditions were 5°C temperature and a wind speed of 5 knots at 100°.
The total landing distance was 988 meters, which is 49% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxiing to the parking area took approximately 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight covered a distance of 223 nautical miles, took 50 minutes, and used 2,097 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at EDDW Bremen Airport, achieving a high score of 99.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 88.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,289 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the local weather conditions.
The temperature at the time of landing was 5°C, with a moderate wind of 5 knots blowing from a direction of 100°. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 5 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing. The aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 120 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft maintained a good alignment with the runway, and the touchdown distance of 291 meters was within the expected range. The touchdown speed of 113 knots was also satisfactory, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown rate of -288 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the pilot could have achieved a more gradual touchdown.
Despite this minor issue, the overall landing performance was impressive. The aircraft rolled out perfectly along the runway, maintaining a precise alignment. The total landing distance of 988 meters was 49% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
Overall, the pilot demonstrated exceptional skills and control during the landing, achieving a high score and showcasing a safe and efficient operation.
