Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,674 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 571 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a TBM 850, then departed from runway 16 at Zakynthos International Airport Dionysios Solomos. The takeoff distance was 639 meters, which accounted for 35% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 100 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 0 knots at 0 degrees. There was no crosswind or headwind. The aircraft began its enroute climb overhead Kalamakion, a location in the Ionian Islands, Greece. During this climb, the aircraft ascended from 231 feet above sea level to 1,914 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,683 feet in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started overhead Vasilikos, another location in the Ionian Islands, Greece. This cruise phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 7 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, which started 6 miles east of Vasilikos. During this descent, the aircraft descended from 1,878 feet above sea level to 781 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,097 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 1 mile west of Katakolo, a location in Western Greece. This cruise phase lasted for 14 minutes and covered a distance of 42 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent again, which started overhead Meligalas, a location in the Peloponnese region of Greece. During this descent, the aircraft descended from 1,585 feet above sea level to 981 feet above sea level, a decrease of 604 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 17R at Kalamata Airport was made from the north, with a heading of 170.0 degrees at 3 nautical miles and 960 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 17R, which had a length of 2,674 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target speed at 76 knots.
The touchdown point was 135 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 68 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -138 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.4 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 17°C and a wind speed of 0 knots at 270 degrees.
The total landing distance was 801 meters, which accounted for 30% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 53 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 72 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 30 minutes. The aircraft used 149 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed at LGKL Kalamata Airport, achieving a score of 95.8%. The final approach was conducted from the north, heading 170.0° at 3 nautical miles and 960 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft landed on runway 17R, which has a length of 2,674 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was above the target speed, coming in at 76 knots. This may have been due to the aircraft's approach configuration or the pilot's decision to prioritize a safe landing over a precise touchdown speed.
The touchdown point was 135 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 68 knots was slightly faster than the target speed, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -138 feet per minute (fpm). This indicates that the aircraft's descent was controlled and stable.
One area for improvement was the runway touchdown position, which was misaligned by 8.4 meters from the centerline. This may have been due to a slight drift or a miscalculation of the aircraft's position during the approach.
The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 17°C and a wind speed of 0 knots from 270°. This meant that there was no crosswind or headwind to contend with, making the landing even more straightforward.
The total landing distance was 801 meters, which is 30% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and stop quickly. The runway rollout alignment was very good, showing that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to touch down safely on the runway. However, there are some areas for improvement, such as the threshold speed and the runway touchdown position.
