Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,750 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,750 m of the 2,738 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 541 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 14 at Dothan Regional Airport (KDHN), with a takeoff distance of 978 meters, which was 38% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 146 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 29 degrees Celsius and winds of 8 knots at 120 degrees. The crosswind was 2 knots, and the headwind was 7 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Grimes, Alabama, where the aircraft climbed from 1,432 feet above sea level to 14,956 feet above sea level, an increase of 13,524 feet in 5 minutes and covering 14 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles southwest of Abbeville, Alabama, and lasted for 23 minutes, covering 137 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent 4 miles northeast of Temple, Georgia, where it descended from 15,164 feet above sea level to 13,131 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,033 feet in 3 minutes and covering 16 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started again 4 miles southwest of Cartersville Airport (KVPC) in Cartersville, Georgia, and lasted for 5 minutes, covering 25 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent 3 miles southwest of Fulton County Airport Brown Field Atlanta (KFTY), where it descended from 13,100 feet above sea level to 5,530 feet above sea level, a decrease of 7,570 feet in 5 minutes and covering 24 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started once more 1 mile northeast of Lithonia, Georgia, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent 2 miles north of Pinetree Heliport Cumming (8GA0), where it descended from 4,818 feet above sea level to 2,664 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,154 feet in 3 minutes and covering 10 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26R at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) was made from the east, heading 271.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,639 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 26R, which had a length of 2,738 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 152 knots.
The touchdown point was 130 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 142 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -324 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.5 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and winds of 7 knots at 190 degrees, with a crosswind of 7 knots and a headwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 1,673 meters, which was 61% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 241 nautical miles, and the flight took 56 minutes, using 1,366 kilograms of fuel.
The CRJ900 aircraft successfully landed at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) on runway 26R. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 271.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,639 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a good threshold height, which is a crucial aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the threshold speed was recorded at 152 kt, significantly above the target speed. This indicates that the pilot had sufficient control over the aircraft's descent and was able to maintain a stable approach. However, the touchdown speed of 142 kt was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a firmer touchdown rate.
The touchdown point was located 130 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown rate of -324 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, indicating a controlled descent. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.5 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments during the rollout phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 24°C and a wind speed of 7 kt from 190°. The crosswind component was 7 kt, while the headwind component was 1 kt. These conditions did not appear to significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance was 1,673 meters, which accounts for 61% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot had a good understanding of the aircraft's performance and was able to manage the descent effectively. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control over the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the CRJ900 aircraft landed safely at KATL, with a score of 93.8%. While there were some minor deviations from the desired touchdown speed and position, the pilot demonstrated good control over the aircraft throughout the approach and landing phases.
