Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,371 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 249 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on a fantastic aircraft landing score of 99.6%! Your performance during each phase of the landing process was exceptional and truly commendable.
During the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, ensuring a smooth descent towards the runway. Although your speed was slightly below target, it did not affect the overall quality of the approach.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, you displayed great skill with the threshold height and executed a perfect landing flare, resulting in a seamless touchdown. Your touchdown rate was excellent, and your speed was right on target, contributing to a safe and controlled landing. Additionally, your touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and runway touchdown position being 4.6 m from the centreline is a testament to your precision and accuracy.
In the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate and speed were on point, further showcasing your proficiency in handling the aircraft during this critical phase. Your ability to touch down within the designated zone is a reflection of your expertise and meticulous approach to landing.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment being 3.2 m from the centreline demonstrates your ability to maintain control and stability as you taxi down the runway towards your destination.
Overall, your stellar performance throughout the landing process speaks volumes about your dedication to excellence and your commitment to safety. Keep up the excellent work, and continue to strive for perfection in every flight you undertake. Well done!
