Shorten the long landing
Ground effect becomes significant below about one wingspan of height. A Cessna 172, with a 36 ft span, enters ground effect at flare height - the float it feels in the hold-off is ground effect arriving on cue. An A320, with a span around 117 ft, has been in ground effect since before the threshold and there is no sudden cushion to feel, only a gradual reduction in induced drag that lengthens any float you allow.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,284 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 515 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Honda Jet began with a smooth taxi from the parking area to the runway, covering less than 1 nm in just 1 minute. The departure roll on runway 35 at UBBB Heydar Aliyev International Airport was short, with only 21% of the runway used for takeoff. The liftoff speed was 126 kn, despite challenging local weather conditions with a temperature of 10°C and a strong wind at 19 kn coming from 330°, resulting in a crosswind of 9 kn and a headwind of 16 kn.
Enroute, the climb started 1 mile northeast of the airport, climbing from 1,014 ft asl to 2,265 ft asl in just 1 minute and covering 2 nm. The descent began 1 mile northwest of the airport, descending from 2,257 ft asl to 1,152 ft asl in 2 minutes and covering 5 nm.
The final approach to runway 35 at UBBB Heydar Aliyev International Airport was from the south, at a heading of 347.0° at 2 nm and 1,134 ft agl. The landing on the 3,284 m runway was slightly challenging, with the threshold height at 56 ft agl slightly above the target and the touchdown speed slightly below target at 104 kn. The touchdown point was 176 m beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 86 kn and a hard touchdown rate of -440 ft/min. The runway touchdown position was excessively misaligned by 40.0 m from the centerline.
The total landing distance was 897 m, utilizing 27% of the runway, with the runway rollout alignment also being excessively misaligned by 89.9 m from the centerline. After landing, taxiing from the runway to the parking area took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nm.
Overall, the total flight distance was 11 nm, taking 7 minutes and using -89 kg of fuel. Despite the challenges during landing, the flight was completed safely and efficiently in the Honda Jet.
Good job on maintaining excellent glideslope alignment during the Approach Phase of the landing. Your threshold speed was slightly below target, which shows good control over the aircraft. However, the threshold height was slightly above target during the Landing Phase.
During the Landing Phase, there were some areas that need improvement. The landing flare was very poor, leading to a hard touchdown rate of -440 ft/m. While the touchdown speed of 86 kn was good, the touchdown point was far beyond the touchdown zone by 176 m. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was excessively misaligned by 40.0 m from the centerline.
Despite these challenges, you successfully landed with a 12 kn crosswind, demonstrating your ability to handle crosswind conditions effectively. Moving forward, focus on improving your landing flare technique to ensure a smoother touchdown and work on maintaining bank angle stability during landing to improve overall aircraft control. Keep practicing and refining your skills, and you will see improvements in your landing score. Well done on your performance!
