Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,566 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,566 m of the 3,003 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 559 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 12L at Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (KSJC). The takeoff distance was 922 meters, which accounted for 42% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 162 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 18°C temperature and a wind speed of 3 knots at 180 degrees. The crosswind was 2 knots, and the headwind was also 2 knots. The enroute climb started overhead San Jose, California, and the aircraft ascended from 1,099 feet above sea level to 37,182 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,082 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 123 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 11 miles south of the CA69 Avenal Gliderport in Avenal, California, and lasted for 137 minutes, covering a distance of 1,130 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 27 miles south of the Valle Del Rosario Airport in Valle Del Rosario, Mexico. The descent from 37,236 feet above sea level to 2,676 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,560 feet, took 21 minutes and covered a distance of 69 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 11 at Monterrey International Airport (MMMY) was made from the northwest, heading 120.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,388 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 11 was successful, with a touchdown point 144 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 130 knots, and the touchdown rate was smooth at -142 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.0 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 17°C temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots at 110 degrees. The crosswind was 0 knots, and the headwind was 1 knot. The total landing distance was 1,487 meters, which accounted for 50% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 1,331 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 184 minutes. The aircraft used 21,762 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at Monterrey International Airport (MMMY) on runway 11, achieving a high score of 97.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the northwest, heading 120.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,388 feet above ground level (agl).
The final approach was executed smoothly, with the aircraft touching down on the runway at a speed of 130 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed of 134 knots. The touchdown point was 144 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, but this was not considered a significant deviation. The touchdown rate was also smooth, at -142 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a controlled descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 17°C and a gentle wind of 2 knots from a direction of 110°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind component and a slight headwind of 1 knot. The runway length of 3,003 meters was sufficient to accommodate the aircraft's landing distance, which was 1,487 meters, or 50% of the runway.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 6.0 meters, but this did not affect the overall performance of the landing. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively, allowing the aircraft to come to a stop without any issues.
Overall, the landing was executed safely and efficiently, with the aircraft touching down on the runway at a controlled speed and rate. The slight deviation from the centerline and the touchdown point beyond the designated zone were minor issues that did not impact the overall performance of the landing.
