Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 152 m above the runway. The 305 m gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,693 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 204 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 6 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 35 at ENBR Bergen Airport, Flesland, with a takeoff distance of 1,444 meters, which accounted for 59% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 158 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Bergen, it began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile north of the airport and reaching an altitude of 10,524 meters above sea level. This climb covered a distance of 94 nautical miles and took 17 minutes. The aircraft then entered a level cruise, starting 1 mile northeast of Lyefjell, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 16 nautical miles.
The enroute climb continued, this time starting 3 miles northeast of Egersund, and reached an altitude of 11,878 meters above sea level. This climb covered a distance of 59 nautical miles and took 7 minutes. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 25 miles south of Spangereid, and lasted for 42 minutes, covering 335 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, starting 1 mile east of Engersen in Germany. The descent from 11,728 meters above sea level to 9,135 meters above sea level took 5 minutes and covered 40 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting overhead EDOZ Schönebeck-Zackmünde Airfield Pömmelte, and lasted for 5 minutes, covering 36 nautical miles.
The enroute descent continued, starting overhead Mittelhausen, and reached an altitude of 1,274 meters above sea level. This descent covered a distance of 114 nautical miles and took 23 minutes. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting overhead Oberreichenbach, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 10 at EDDN Nuremberg Airport began, with the aircraft descending from 1,278 meters above sea level to 704 meters above sea level. The descent took 3 minutes and covered 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then landed on runway 10, with a touchdown distance of 206 meters and a touchdown speed of 132 knots. The touchdown rate was very hard at -2.6 meters per second, but the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance was 940 meters, which accounted for 35% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway in 1 minute, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 710 nautical miles, and the flight took 115 minutes, using 3,889 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 aircraft successfully landed at Nuremberg Airport (EDDN) on runway 10, achieving a high score of 93.6%. The final approach was initiated from the west, with the aircraft heading 99.0° at an altitude of 384.8 meters above ground level (agl) and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 134 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed. The touchdown distance of 206 meters was also satisfactory, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown speed of 132 knots was slightly lower than the threshold speed, but still within the acceptable range.
One area of concern was the touchdown rate, which was very hard at -2.6 meters per second. This suggests that the aircraft may have touched down with a higher than ideal rate, which could potentially lead to a bumpy ride for passengers. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.0 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments to the aircraft's alignment during future landings.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 23°C. The total landing distance of 940 meters was 35% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled path after touchdown.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there are some areas that require attention to ensure that future landings are even smoother and more controlled.
