Shorten the long landing
Ground effect becomes significant below about one wingspan of height. A Cessna 172, with a 36 ft span, enters ground effect at flare height - the float it feels in the hold-off is ground effect arriving on cue. An A320, with a span around 117 ft, has been in ground effect since before the threshold and there is no sudden cushion to feel, only a gradual reduction in induced drag that lengthens any float you allow.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,233 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,233 m of the 3,570 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 952 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Overall, the aircraft landing score of 89.6% is a great achievement, indicating strong performance in multiple areas of the landing process.
Starting with the Approach Phase, the excellent glideslope alignment shows a high level of precision and skill from the pilot. This is a crucial aspect of the landing process and sets a solid foundation for a successful landing.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, while the threshold height and landing flare were rated as good, there is room for improvement in the landing flare. This phase is essential for a smooth touchdown and should be practiced to achieve optimal results.
In the Touchdown Phase, the firm touchdown rate and on-target speed are impressive indicators of control and competence. However, the touchdown point being 538 m beyond the touchdown zone suggests that adjustments can be made to ensure a more precise landing. Despite this, the runway touchdown position being very good reflects a strong performance in this phase.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, the very good runway alignment demonstrates careful attention to detail and a high level of expertise in maintaining course control during the landing process.
Overall, while there are areas for improvement, the aircraft landing score of 89.6% is a solid achievement. Continued practice and focus on refining techniques will help to further improve performance and ensure consistently successful landings in the future. Keep up the good work and strive for even greater proficiency in all phases of the landing process. Well done!
