Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 152 m above the runway. The 305 m gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,999 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 354 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 22 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 35R at LIMC Milan Malpensa International Airport. The takeoff distance was 473 meters, which accounted for 16% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 117 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 8 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 350 degrees. This resulted in a headwind of 4 knots and no crosswind. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead LIMC Milan Malpensa International Airport Ferno. The climb took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 45 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 535 meters above sea level to 11,025 meters above sea level, an increase of 10,489.4 meters.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started overhead Chiuduno and lasted for 33 minutes. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 198 nautical miles. The enroute descent then began 1 mile east of Attenhofen, Germany, and took 18 minutes to descend from an altitude of 11,241 meters above sea level to 1,443 meters above sea level, a decrease of 9,797.2 meters. The descent covered a distance of 96 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 1 mile south east of Stedra, Czech Republic, and lasted for 2 minutes. During this brief period, the aircraft covered a distance of 6 nautical miles. The enroute descent then began overhead Verusicky, Czech Republic, and took 2 minutes to descend from an altitude of 1,336 meters above sea level to 967 meters above sea level, a decrease of 368.9 meters. The descent covered a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 29 at LKKV Karlovy Vary Airport was made from the south east, heading 293.0 degrees at an altitude of 4 nautical miles and 357.6 meters above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown speed of 96 knots and a touchdown rate of -1.0 meters per second. The touchdown distance was 353 meters, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 0 knots from a direction of 140 degrees. There was no crosswind or headwind. The total landing distance was 1,240 meters, which accounted for 62% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 362 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 85 minutes. The aircraft used 806 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation successfully landed at Karlovy Vary Airport, achieving a remarkable score of 99.7%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 293.0° at an altitude of 357.6 meters above ground level (agl) and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. This precise approach was a testament to the pilot's skill and experience.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on runway 29, which has a length of 1,999 meters. The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 106 knots was also satisfactory, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's speed during the landing phase.
The touchdown distance of 353 meters was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 96 knots was also good. The touchdown rate of -1.0 meters per second was within the desired range, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 7°C and a wind speed of 0 knots from 140°. This meant that there was no crosswind or headwind to contend with, making the landing even more challenging and impressive.
The total landing distance of 1,240 meters was 62% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. This indicates that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently, using the available runway length to its fullest potential.
Finally, the runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's speed and direction during the rollout phase. Overall, this landing was a testament to the pilot's skill and experience, and the aircraft's performance capabilities.
