MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Departure
Roll the wings level with aileron and hold bank within limits as you establish the climb.
What happened: Bank increased to 0.5° during the initial climb, and wings stayed over-banked at 10° into the next climb segment.
Watch for: Attitude indicator bank angle, aiming to keep it near wings-level
Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 500 ft gate: speed above the reference speed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,091 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 491 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Embraer E175 aircraft took off from runway 30R at KMSP Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, covering a takeoff distance of 986 meters, which was 41% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 148 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 4°C and a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 300°, resulting in a headwind of 11 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of KMSP, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 16,334 feet above sea level in just 5 minutes, covering a distance of 28 nautical miles. The climb started from an initial altitude of 1,835 feet above sea level, resulting in an increase of 14,499 feet.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 33 nautical miles. This cruise phase took place 1 mile north-east of Martin Lake, Minnesota.
The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 8 miles east of MY89 Pavek Personal Airport, Pine City, Minnesota. The descent took 5 minutes to complete, covering a distance of 63 nautical miles, and resulted in a decrease of 12,978 feet in altitude, from 15,924 feet above sea level to 2,945 feet above sea level.
Following the descent, the aircraft entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for 4 minutes and covered a distance of 13 nautical miles. This cruise phase took place 11 miles north of Poplar, Wisconsin.
The final approach to runway 27 at KDLH Duluth International Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 272.0° at an altitude of 1,277 feet above ground level, 4 nautical miles from the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of -9°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 300°, resulting in a headwind of 6 knots.
The aircraft landed on runway 27, with a touchdown point 77 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 148 knots, which was too fast, and the threshold speed was 156 knots, which was also too high. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -205 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The total landing distance was 1,265 meters, which was 41% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in just 1 minute.
The total flight distance was 145 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 24 minutes. The aircraft used 1,041 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Embraer E175 aircraft successfully landed at Duluth International Airport (KDLH) with a score of 95.2%. The final approach was conducted from the east, heading 272.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,277 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft landed on runway 27, which has a length of 3,091 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was too high at 156 knots, suggesting that the pilots may have been able to reduce their speed before touchdown. The touchdown point was 77 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation.
The touchdown speed of 148 knots was also reported as too fast, indicating that the pilots may have been able to reduce their speed further before touchdown. The touchdown rate of -205 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, suggesting that the aircraft was able to touch down relatively smoothly. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were reported as follows: a temperature of -9°C, a wind speed of 7 knots from 300°, with a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 6 knots. These conditions were relatively calm, which may have contributed to the smoothness of the landing.
The total landing distance was 1,265 meters, which is 41% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop relatively quickly. The runway rollout alignment was also reported as perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline as it rolled out after touchdown.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with a score of 95.2%. However, there were some minor deviations from the ideal touchdown speed and point, which may indicate areas for improvement for the pilots.
