Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,720 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,720 m of the 3,082 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 525 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A321 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Munich Airport, taking 9 minutes and covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 26R, with a takeoff distance of 1,079 meters, which was 27% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 144 knots.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 2°C temperature and a wind speed of 1 knot from 271 degrees. The crosswind was negligible, but there was a headwind of 1 knot. The enroute climb started 1 mile west of the airport and took the aircraft from an altitude of 2,504 feet above sea level to 34,609 feet, an increase of 32,105 feet in 19 minutes, covering a distance of 107 nautical miles.
After reaching cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started overhead Kirchheim, a town in Bavaria, Germany. This phase lasted for 7 minutes and covered a distance of 53 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 1 mile northeast of Gallus, a town in Hessen, Germany. The descent took the aircraft from 34,658 feet to 21,217 feet, a decrease of 13,441 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 79 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 2 miles west of Bad Muenstereifel, a town in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. This phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 13 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 1 mile east of Simmerath, another town in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. The descent took the aircraft from 21,063 feet to 1,445 feet, a decrease of 19,618 feet in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 68 nautical miles.
The final approach to Brussels Airport took place on runway 25L, with the aircraft approaching from the east at a heading of 250.0 degrees and at an altitude of 1,286 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 3,082 meters, and the threshold height was slightly above the target height. The threshold speed was good, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 128 knots.
The touchdown point was 107 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown rate was good at -186 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.5 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 3°C temperature and a wind speed of 7 knots from 40 degrees, with a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 6 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,638 meters, which was 53% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 6 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 329 nautical miles, and the flight took 67 minutes, using 3,199 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A321 aircraft successfully landed at Brussels Airport (EBBR) on runway 25L, achieving a score of 97.8%. The final approach was conducted from the east, heading 250.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,286 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being slightly above the target at 57 feet agl. However, the threshold speed was satisfactory at 134 knots, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown point was located 107 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended landing spot.
The touchdown speed of 128 knots was slightly faster than the desired speed, which could be attributed to the aircraft's momentum or the pilot's decision to touch down slightly ahead of the intended point. Nevertheless, the touchdown rate of -186 feet per minute (fpm) was within the acceptable range, indicating a controlled and stable descent.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.5 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to the crosswind or tailwind conditions. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 3°C, a wind speed of 7 knots at 40°, resulting in a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 6 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,638 meters was 53% of the available runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was well-controlled and stable during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score despite some minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters. The pilots' skills and experience were evident in their ability to navigate the aircraft safely and efficiently, even in the presence of challenging weather conditions.
