MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 7,004 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,669 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Fantastic job on your aircraft landing! Your attention to detail and precision throughout the entire landing process was evident in your exceptional score of 97.9%.
During the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, leading to a smooth transition into the Landing Phase. Your ability to maintain a steady descent angle shows your skill and expertise in handling the aircraft.
In the Landing Phase, your control of the threshold height and landing flare were both commendable. This demonstrates your ability to make precise adjustments during critical moments of the landing process, resulting in a successful touchdown.
Moving on to the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate and speed control were both on target. Your touchdown point being 244 ft beyond the touchdown zone indicates a calculated and well-executed approach, while the runway touchdown position being 18 ft from the centerline reflects your ability to maintain accuracy and alignment.
Lastly, during the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment of 18 ft from the centerline shows a consistent effort to maintain a straight and controlled path down the runway.
Overall, your performance during the aircraft landing was outstanding. Your focus on key aspects of the landing process such as glideslope alignment, threshold height, touchdown rate, and runway alignment is truly commendable. Keep up the excellent work and continue to strive for perfection in your future landings. Well done!
