MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,663 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,663 m of the 3,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 34 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The 3.67 G arrival is the firm side of smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The Boeing 777-300 then departed from runway 07C at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF), with a takeoff distance of 1,601 meters, which is 40% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 201 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 8 knots at a direction of 30 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 6 knots. After departing from runway 07C, the aircraft entered a right-hand pattern, which it completed in a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in 38 seconds. The pattern crosswind leg was also completed in a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in just 7 seconds.
The aircraft then proceeded to the downwind turn, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles at an angle of 45 degrees to the runway. The downwind leg itself was completed in a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in just 5 seconds. The base leg turn was then executed, covering a distance of 3 nautical miles at an angle of 159.5 degrees to the runway.
The final approach to runway 25L at EDDF Frankfurt Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 294.0 degrees at an altitude of 466 feet above ground level and a distance of 1 nautical mile from the runway. The landing on runway 25L was successful, with a touchdown distance of 30 meters and a touchdown speed of 165 knots, which was slightly above the target speed. However, the touchdown rate was very heavy at -2,734 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 20.2 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was excessively misaligned by 135.9 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 3 knots at a direction of 225 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,588 meters, which is 40% of the runway length. The taxiing from the runway to the parking area took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 5 nautical miles, and the flight used -11 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft has successfully landed at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) on runway 25L. However, the landing performance was not entirely satisfactory, with a score of 56.6%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the east, heading 294.0° at 1 nautical mile and 466 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down at a speed of 165 knots, which was slightly above the target threshold speed. The touchdown distance was good at 30 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast. The most concerning aspect of the landing was the very heavy touchdown rate of -2,734 feet per minute (fpm), which indicates a high rate of descent.
The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 20.2 meters from the centerline, which could have contributed to the excessive runway rollout alignment misalignment of 135.9 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 20°C and a gentle headwind of 3 knots at 225°.
The crosswind was minimal at 1 knot, which suggests that it did not have a significant impact on the landing performance. The total landing distance was 1,588 meters, which is 40% of the runway length. Overall, while the landing was successful, there are areas for improvement, particularly in terms of touchdown speed and runway alignment.
