Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 14,252 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,558 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Vision Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at OEBH Bisha Airport, a process that took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 18, with a takeoff distance of 2,504 feet, which is 25% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 94 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of OEBH Bisha Airport, it began its enroute climb 1 mile south of the airport, reaching an altitude of 30,969 feet above sea level. This climb, which covered 65 nautical miles, took 20 minutes and involved an increase of 26,057 feet in altitude. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 81°F.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 6 miles north of Al Bahah, Saudi Arabia. This phase lasted for 60 minutes and covered a distance of 240 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 41 miles south of Medina, Saudi Arabia, and descended from an altitude of 30,730 feet to 3,484 feet above sea level, a decrease of 27,246 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 52 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 17 at OEMA Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport was made from the north, with the aircraft heading 169.0° at an altitude of 1,378 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 17, which has a length of 14,252 feet. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was 70 knots. The touchdown distance was 1,551 feet, and the touchdown speed was 61 knots, both of which were good. The touchdown rate was also good at -197 feet per minute.
However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 28 feet. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 84°F and winds of 12 knots at 60°. The crosswind was 11 knots, and the tailwind was 4 knots. The total landing distance was 3,840 feet, which is 27% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned from the centreline by 26 feet.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 365 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 111 minutes. The aircraft used 715 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Vision Jet aircraft successfully landed at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport, achieving a score of 95.6%. The final approach to runway 17 was initiated from the north, with a heading of 169.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,378 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 70 knots. The touchdown distance of 1,551 feet was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 61 knots was also good. Furthermore, the touchdown rate of -197 feet per minute was within the desired range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
However, there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing performance. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 28 feet, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. Additionally, the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 84°F and a wind speed of 12 knots at 60°, may have contributed to the slight misalignment.
The crosswind component of 11 knots and the tailwind component of 4 knots may have also affected the aircraft's alignment during the landing. Despite these minor deviations, the total landing distance of 3,840 feet was only 27% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance.
During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 26 feet, which may have been due to the same factors that contributed to the initial misalignment. Overall, the Vision Jet aircraft demonstrated a good landing performance, with only minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters.
