Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,805 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 397 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 777-200ER taxied from the parking area to runway 34R at KSEA Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in 4 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 34R, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 172 kt, using a takeoff distance of 1,752 m (48 % of the runway). Ambient conditions were 16 °C with a wind of 5 kt from 10°, a 1 kt cross-wind component and a 5 kt head-wind.
The initial climb began overhead KSEA, climbing from 1,388 ft asl to 34,858 ft asl - an increase of 33,470 ft - in 26 minutes while covering 180 nm.
Level cruise commenced 9 nm south of Boardman, Oregon and continued for 324 minutes, during which 2,676 nm were flown.
A subsequent climb started 4 nm west of MNFC Punta Huete Airport, raising the aircraft from 35,247 ft asl to 36,990 ft asl, a gain of 1,744 ft in 3 minutes and covering 28 nm.
The next cruise segment began overhead Catarina, Nicaragua, lasting 174 minutes and encompassing 1,413 nm.
A further climb was initiated 4 nm east of Huarmey, Peru, increasing altitude from 37,005 ft asl to 38,598 ft asl - a rise of 1,593 ft - in 2 minutes while traversing 13 nm.
Cruise then continued 16 nm south-east of Huarmey for 218 minutes, during which 1,723 nm were covered.
Descent began 17 nm north of SABQ La Cura Malal Airport, descending from 38,990 ft asl to 1,340 ft asl, a loss of 37,649 ft in 22 minutes and spanning 123 nm.
The final approach to runway 35 at SAEZ Minister Pistarini International Airport reduced altitude from 1,319 ft agl to 44 ft agl in 111 seconds, and the aircraft scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 35 was achieved with a threshold speed of 134 kt; touchdown occurred 396 m down the runway at 126 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 164 fpm and very good runway-touchdown alignment. Local weather reported 19 °C, wind 5 kt from 340°, zero cross-wind and a 5 kt head-wind.
The total landing distance recorded was 1,121 m (40 % of the runway), and the rollout alignment was very good.
After arrival, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 6,162 nm, took 778 minutes, and consumed 94,715 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 777-200ER achieved a 99.7 % landing score as it commenced the final approach to runway 35 at SAEZ Minister Pistarini International Airport, with the approach assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate and gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope, centreline and speed all within limits; the aircraft descended from 1,319 ft agl to 44 ft agl in 111 seconds and was scored on the stabilisation gates.
During the threshold and flare phase the aircraft presented a good threshold height and a good threshold speed of 134 kt.
Touchdown occurred 396 m down the runway at a speed of 126 kt, a good touchdown speed, with a good touchdown rate of minus 164 fpm and a very good runway touchdown alignment; the total landing distance was 1,121 m, representing 40 % of the 2,805 m runway.
The rollout phase maintained a very good runway rollout alignment.
Maintain the current stabilised-approach technique and precise flare timing to preserve the excellent alignment and speed control demonstrated, ensuring continued high-score performance.
