MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,739 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 484 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving a landing score of 97.8%! This is an excellent result and reflects the proficiency and skill of the pilot during each phase of the landing process.
In the Approach Phase, the good glideslope alignment shows that the pilot maintained proper altitude and descent rate, leading to a smooth transition to the landing phase. While the speed being slightly below target is a minor deviation, it indicates a cautious and controlled approach that contributed to the overall success of the landing.
During the Landing Phase, the good threshold height and very good landing flare demonstrate precision and finesse in executing the final approach and touchdown. These factors are crucial in ensuring a safe and comfortable landing for both passengers and crew.
In the Touchdown Phase, the fair touchdown rate suggests room for improvement in achieving a smoother touchdown. However, the speed being a little above target could be managed better in future landings to further enhance the overall performance. The touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and runway touchdown position being 4.5 m from the centerline indicate a successful descent and alignment with the runway.
As for the Rollout Phase, the runway alignment being 4.5 m from the centerline showcases effective control and steering of the aircraft during the taxiing process. This attention to detail in maintaining runway alignment contributes to a professional and safe landing.
Overall, this landing score reflects a high level of competency and proficiency in aircraft handling. With continued practice and attention to detail, the pilot can further improve their performance and strive for even higher scores in future landings. Keep up the great work and continue to aim for excellence in every flight!
