Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,459 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,459 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 230 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Southwest Florida International Airport, the Airbus A319 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 14 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. As the aircraft reached the runway threshold, it initiated its departure roll on runway 06, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 157 knots. The takeoff distance of 1,455 meters, which accounted for 40% of the runway, was achieved in a smooth and efficient manner.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the airport and continued for 5 minutes, covering a distance of 25 nautical miles. The aircraft successfully transitioned from a ground elevation of 998 feet to a cruising altitude of 16,919 feet, an increase of 15,921 feet. Following this climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 9 minutes and covered a distance of 54 nautical miles. The enroute descent phase began 30 miles south of Chokoloskee, where the aircraft descended from 17,029 feet to 1,290 feet in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 59 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 09 at Key West International Airport was initiated from the west, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 90.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,277 feet above ground level. The landing was executed smoothly, with a touchdown speed of 122 knots and a touchdown distance of 231 meters, which accounted for 56% of the runway. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 147 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 1,348 kilograms of fuel during the flight, which lasted for 39 minutes.
The aircraft, an Airbus A319, successfully executed a final approach to runway 09 at KEYW Key West International Airport from the west, aligning with the runway heading of 90.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,277 feet above ground level. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 124 knots, well within the acceptable range. As the aircraft descended onto the runway, it touched down at a distance of 231 meters, which was within the expected parameters.
Although the touchdown speed of 122 knots was slightly above the ideal, the touchdown rate of -250 feet per minute was fair, indicating a controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway centerline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 29°C and a gentle headwind of 2 knots, contributed to a smooth landing. The total landing distance of 816 meters, accounting for 56% of the runway length, was well within the acceptable range.
Following touchdown, the aircraft maintained excellent centerline alignment during the rollout phase, with a very good alignment on the runway. The overall performance of the landing was impressive, with a score of 98.6% reflecting the high level of proficiency demonstrated by the crew. The landing was a testament to the crew's skill and experience, as well as the aircraft's capabilities.
