MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,550 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,550 m of the 2,790 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 438 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking to the runway at EVRA Riga International Airport, taking 6 minutes and covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 36, with the takeoff distance being 1,836 meters, which is 63% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 155 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of -8°C, with a wind speed of 10 knots at 10°.
As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, starting overhead the EVRA Riga International Airport. The climb took place from an altitude of 1,101 feet above sea level to 3,022 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,922 feet in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 3 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then started 2 miles north-east of Pinki, lasting 3 minutes and covering 14 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began another enroute climb, this time from 3,009 feet above sea level to 36,010 feet above sea level, an increase of 33,001 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 109 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then started 22 miles west of Liepaja, lasting 38 minutes and covering 259 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, starting 20 miles south of Kurland in Sweden. The descent took place from an altitude of 36,006 feet above sea level to 4,191 feet above sea level, a decrease of 31,815 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 121 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then started 1 mile north of Bad Oldesloe, lasting 2 minutes and covering 6 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final descent, starting overhead Elmenhorst in Germany. The descent took place from an altitude of 3,978 feet above sea level to 1,486 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,492 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 23 at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport took place from the north-east, with the aircraft heading 230.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,433 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 23, which has a length of 2,790 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 137 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 440 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -234 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.5 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of -5°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 10°, and a crosswind of 2 knots and a tailwind of 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,474 meters, which is 53% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 4 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight distance was 528 nautical miles, taking 96 minutes, and the aircraft used 4,297 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A321 successfully landed at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport, achieving a high score of 99.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 230.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,433 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft touched down on runway 23, which has a length of 2,790 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 137 knots. However, the touchdown distance of 440 meters was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown speed of 130 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -234 feet per minute (fpm) was fair, suggesting a relatively gentle impact.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.5 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a minor deviation in the approach or landing technique. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -5°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 10°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the tailwind component was 3 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,474 meters was 53% of the runway length, which is a reasonable figure considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control and stability during the landing roll. Overall, the landing was executed with a high degree of precision and control, resulting in a score of 99.0%.
