Be on speed by the gate
Preparing for a stable approach will give you time to decide on whether to attempt the landing or going around. Too much altitude with a high sink rate will result in carrying too much speed onto the runway. Configuring flaps and the gear late also won't help the speed decay.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.

The rest of the report
The Boeing 777F taxied from its parking position to the departure runway in 9 minutes, covering a distance of 1 nm before line-up.
During the departure roll on runway 07C at EDDF Frankfurt Airport, the aircraft used 6,283 ft of runway, representing 48 % of the available length, and lifted off at 175 kt. Ambient conditions were a temperature of 64 °F with a wind of 1 kt from 270°, no crosswind and a 1 kt tailwind component.
Climb commenced approximately 1 mile north-east of EDDF, with the airplane ascending from 1,327 ft asl to 30,002 ft asl, an increase of 28,674 ft achieved in 18 minutes while covering 113 nm.
Cruise began about 1 mile north-west of Rommerskirchen and continued for 470 minutes, during which the flight traversed 3,714 nm at level altitude.
Descent was initiated 28 miles west of South Haven, Michigan, with the aircraft descending from 29,944 ft asl to 1,961 ft asl, a loss of 27,983 ft over 19 minutes and a distance of 98 nm.
The final approach to runway 27C at KORD Chicago O’Hare International Airport involved a descent from 1,328 ft agl to 71 ft agl in 96 seconds, and the aircraft was recorded as having scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 27C, which measures 11,580 ft, was executed with a threshold speed of 152 kt. Touchdown occurred 1,060 ft beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 138 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 197 fpm and a lateral deviation of 15 ft from the centreline. Local weather reported a temperature of 59 °F, wind 1 kt from 270°, no crosswind and a 1 kt headwind. The total landing distance was 5,940 ft, representing 51 % of the runway.
Runway rollout alignment was described as very good, completing the landing phase without noted deviation.
In total, the flight covered 3,934 nm, required 524 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 152,689 lbs of fuel.
The Boeing 777F approached runway 27C at KORD Chicago O’Hare International Airport with an unstable final-approach assessment at the 1,000 ft gate, being more than 5 kt below VREF, and completed a descent from 1,328 ft agl to 71 ft agl in 96 seconds, earning scores on the stabilisation gates.
At the threshold the aircraft presented a good threshold height and maintained a good threshold speed of 152 kt during the flare.
Touchdown occurred 1,060 ft beyond the touchdown zone with a good touchdown speed of 138 kt and a good touchdown rate of minus 197 fpm; the wheel track was slightly misaligned by 15 ft from the centreline, and the total landing distance was 5,940 ft, representing 51 % of the 11,580 ft runway. Local weather was 59 °F with wind 1 kt from 270°, crosswind 0 kt and headwind 1 kt.
The rollout alignment was very good.
Maintain at least VREF by the 1,000 ft gate to keep the approach stabilised, and aim to touch down within the designated touchdown zone to reduce landing distance and improve alignment.
