MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 5,492 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 787 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (KSBA), the aircraft began its taxiing sequence from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. Upon reaching runway 25, the aircraft initiated its departure roll, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 138 knots. The takeoff distance of 2,148 feet accounted for 36% of the available runway length. Local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 69°F and a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 260°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and an 11-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed to a cruising altitude, it began its enroute climb phase, which started overhead Isla Vista, California. The aircraft ascended from an initial altitude of 783 feet above sea level to a final altitude of 10,262 feet, an increase of 9,480 feet in just 5 minutes, covering a distance of 20 nautical miles. Following the enroute climb, the aircraft initiated its enroute descent phase, which began 11 miles south of Santa Barbara. The aircraft descended from 9,823 feet to 963 feet above sea level, a decrease of 8,860 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 21 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 07 at Oxnard Airport (KOXR), aligning itself with the runway from the west at a heading of 91.0° and an altitude of 915 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed on runway 07 at KOXR, with a touchdown distance of 788 feet, accounting for 42% of the available runway length. The touchdown speed of 109 knots was slightly above the target speed, while the touchdown rate of -1,061 feet per minute was considered heavy. However, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also satisfactory. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 48 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 20 minutes and a fuel consumption of 10 pounds.
The aircraft, C750, successfully executed a final approach to runway 07 at KOXR Oxnard Airport from the west, aligning with the heading of 91.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 915 feet above ground level. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a threshold height of 73 feet above ground level, which was well above the target. This allowed the pilot to maintain a safe margin for the landing.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, the touchdown distance was good at 788 feet, indicating a well-controlled descent. However, the touchdown speed of 109 knots was slightly above the target, resulting in a heavy touchdown rate of -1,061 feet per minute. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 70°F and a wind of 16 knots at 290°, contributed to a crosswind of 5 knots and a tailwind of 15 knots.
The aircraft's rollout was smooth, with perfect alignment on the runway centerline. The total landing distance of 2,332 feet was 42% of the runway length, indicating a safe and controlled landing. Overall, the landing was scored 86.8%, reflecting a good performance in terms of approach quality, touchdown characteristics, and rollout alignment.
