MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,794 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 355 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking area to the runway at London City Airport, taking approximately 4 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 27, with a takeoff distance of 799 meters, which is 60% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 138 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of London City Airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 17°C temperature and a wind of 2 knots at 68°. The crosswind was 1 knot, and the tailwind was 2 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile east of Canary Wharf, where the aircraft climbed from 1,110 feet above sea level to 3,148 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,038 feet in 1 minute, covering 3 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise then began 1 mile northeast of Bethnal Green, lasting 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then started another enroute climb 1 mile south of Hainault, climbing from 3,469 feet above sea level to 45,186 feet above sea level, an increase of 41,717 feet in 21 minutes, covering 118 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise then continued overhead Saint-Martin-du-Bec, France, lasting 69 minutes and covering 572 nautical miles. As the aircraft approached its destination, it started its enroute descent 28 miles northwest of Port de Soller, Spain, descending from 45,042 feet above sea level to 3,005 feet above sea level, a decrease of 42,037 feet in 22 minutes, covering 105 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise then began again 13 miles southwest of Es Cubells, Spain, lasting 2 minutes and covering 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its final descent 7 miles southwest of Es Cubells, descending from 2,784 feet above sea level to 1,278 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,506 feet in 2 minutes, covering 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 06 at Ibiza Airport was made from the southwest, heading 62.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,246 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 06, which has a length of 2,794 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 126 knots.
The touchdown point was 223 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 119 knots, which was fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -364 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.9 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 25°C temperature and a wind of 16 knots at 70°, with a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 16 knots.
The total flight distance was 821 nautical miles, taking 128 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,857 kilograms of fuel.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed on runway 06 at LEIB Ibiza Airport, achieving a score of 96.8%. The final approach was initiated from the south-west, heading 62.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,246 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach to the runway was well-executed, with a good threshold height, indicating a stable and controlled descent.
However, there were a few areas for improvement. The threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 126 kt, which may have been due to the aircraft's momentum or the pilot's decision to maintain a higher speed for a smoother touchdown. Additionally, the touchdown point was 223 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may have been caused by a slight overcorrection or a miscalculation of the aircraft's position.
The touchdown speed of 119 kt was also slightly faster than the recommended speed, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -364 feet per minute (fpm). This may have put additional stress on the aircraft's landing gear and could have affected the overall safety of the landing. Furthermore, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.9 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's heading or a miscalculation of the runway's centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 25°C and a wind speed of 16 kt at 70°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 kt, while the headwind component was 16 kt, which helped to stabilize the aircraft's approach and landing. Overall, while there were some areas for improvement, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to touch down safely on the runway.
