Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,533 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,533 m of the 3,602 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 439 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The Airbus A321 then departed from runway 08 at Innsbruck Airport (LOWI), with a takeoff distance of 932 meters, which accounted for 49% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 148 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 8 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 11 knots at a direction of 90 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 11 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead Innsbruck, and continued to climb to an altitude of 28,213 feet above sea level, an increase of 25,301 feet in 15 minutes, covering a distance of 77 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started overhead Koppl, a town in the state of Salzburg, Austria, and lasted for 9 minutes, covering a distance of 63 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting overhead Gaflenz, a town in the state of Upper Austria, and continued to descend to an altitude of 2,858 feet above sea level, a decrease of 25,292 feet in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 76 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise was resumed 1 mile northwest of Donnerskirchen, a town in the state of Burgenland, Austria, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting overhead Sommerein, a town in the state of Lower Austria, and continued to descend to an altitude of 1,866 feet above sea level, a decrease of 979 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 34 at Vienna International Airport (LOWW) was made from the south, heading 344.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,267 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 34, which had a length of 3,602 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed at 143 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 442 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 132 knots. The touchdown rate was hard at -402 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 14 knots at a direction of 28 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 10 knots and a headwind of 10 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,444 meters, which accounted for 40% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area from the runway, a process that took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 232 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 52 minutes. The aircraft used 2,820 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 aircraft successfully landed at Vienna International Airport (LOWW) with a score of 96.8%. The final approach to runway 34 was initiated from the south, heading 344.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,267 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was characterized by a good threshold height, indicating that the pilots maintained a stable and controlled descent.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 143 knots, which may have contributed to a slightly faster touchdown speed of 132 knots. However, the touchdown distance of 442 meters was considered good, indicating that the pilots managed to maintain control and slow down the aircraft effectively. The touchdown rate of -402 feet per minute (fpm) was deemed hard, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slight bounce or jolt upon touchdown.
Despite the slightly fast touchdown speed, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilots maintained a stable and aligned approach to the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 7°C and winds of 14 knots at 28°. The crosswind component was 10 knots, while the headwind component was also 10 knots, which may have contributed to the slightly fast touchdown speed.
The total landing distance of 1,444 meters was 40% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilots maintained control and stability during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft coming to a stop in a relatively short distance and maintaining a stable and aligned position on the runway.
