Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,719 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,719 m of the 3,219 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 531 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A321, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (KMSP). This process took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 17, with the aircraft taking off after covering 52% of the runway's length. The takeoff distance was 1,258 meters, and the liftoff speed was 156 knots.
As the aircraft climbed into the air, it encountered local weather conditions of -2°C and winds of 7 knots at 203 degrees. The crosswind was 4 knots, and the headwind was 6 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile south of KMSP and took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,899 feet above sea level to 34,243 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,343 feet in 13 minutes. This climb covered a distance of 117 nautical miles.
After reaching cruising altitude, the aircraft began its level cruise 1 mile west of Brewster, Minnesota. This phase of the flight lasted 39 minutes and covered a distance of 866 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 3 miles north of Snowflake Airport (KSNO) in Arizona. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 34,206 feet above sea level to 2,421 feet above sea level, a decrease of 31,785 feet in 14 minutes. This descent covered a distance of 113 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX) was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 270.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,289 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 3,219 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was also good at 144 knots.
The touchdown point was 120 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 137 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -237 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.3 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 24°C and winds of 2 knots at 0 degrees, with a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 0 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,644 meters, which was 51% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 6 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,106 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 81 minutes. The aircraft used 7,707 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 successfully landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, achieving a score of 97.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 270.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,289 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 144 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 120 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is slightly outside the recommended area. The touchdown speed of 137 knots was a bit faster than ideal, and the touchdown rate of -237 feet per minute was considered fair. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.3 meters from the centerline, which may have contributed to the slightly off-center touchdown.
The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 24°C and a wind speed of 2 knots at 0°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind and headwind, making the landing conditions relatively calm. The total landing distance of 1,644 meters was 51% of the available runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
One notable aspect of the landing was the excellent runway rollout alignment, which was very good. This indicates that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase, ensuring a smooth and stable transition from touchdown to taxiing. Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from ideal performance, which may be addressed in future training or operations.
