Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 4,284 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 310 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 05 at VGEG Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The takeoff distance was 492 meters, which accounted for 17% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 119 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 18°C, with a wind speed of 8 knots at a direction of 20°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 7 knots. The aircraft climbed to a height of 29,598 feet above sea level, an increase of 28,526 feet from the initial altitude of 1,072 feet, in 11 minutes and covering a distance of 66 nautical miles.
The enroute climb started overhead VGEG Shah Amanat International Airport and continued until the aircraft reached a cruising altitude. The enroute level cruise started 19 miles south of Saiha, India, and lasted for 7 minutes, covering a distance of 58 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 4 miles south of VYGG Gangaw Airport in Myanmar. The descent from 28,094 feet to 27,453 feet took 2 minutes and covered a distance of 16 nautical miles.
The aircraft then leveled off and began another enroute level cruise, this time starting 16 miles southeast of VYGG Gangaw Airport and lasting for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 17 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 21 miles southwest of VYSL Salingyi Airport in Myanmar and continued until the aircraft touched down on runway 35 at VYMD Mandalay International Airport. The descent from 26,788 feet to 1,552 feet took 20 minutes and covered a distance of 75 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 35 at VYMD Mandalay International Airport was made from the south, with a heading of 351.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,254 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 35 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 308 meters, which was 23% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was 87 knots, and the touchdown rate was smooth at -118 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.2 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 21°C, with a wind speed of 7 knots at a direction of 327°. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 6 knots. The total landing distance was 995 meters, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 239 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 53 minutes. The aircraft used 469 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation successfully landed at VYMD Mandalay International Airport, achieving a score of 96.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 351.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,254 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the local weather conditions.
The temperature at the time of landing was 21°C, with a wind speed of 7 knots at 327°. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 6 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing. The aircraft touched down on runway 35, which has a length of 4,284 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly below the target at 94 knots.
The touchdown distance was satisfactory at 308 meters, and the touchdown speed was also good at 87 knots. The touchdown rate was smooth, with a descent rate of -118 feet per minute (fpm). However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.2 meters from the centerline.
Despite this minor deviation, the pilot maintained excellent control during the landing, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 995 meters, which is only 23% of the runway length. Overall, the landing was executed smoothly and efficiently, with the pilot demonstrating excellent skills and judgment.
