Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 5,502 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,029 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 02 at KUZA Rock Hill - York County Airport. The aircraft, a PA28 Warrior II, required a takeoff distance of 267 feet, which is 5% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was achieved at 66 knots. At the time of departure, the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 52 degrees Fahrenheit and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 210 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 4 knots.
As the aircraft entered the right-hand pattern, it flew a distance of 1 nautical mile in 24 seconds. The right-hand pattern crosswind was navigated in less than 1 nautical mile in 30 seconds. The pilot then executed a pattern downwind turn, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles at an angle of 50.1 degrees to the runway. The downwind leg itself was 3 nautical miles long and took 133 seconds to complete.
The base leg turn was another 2 nautical miles, with an angle of 57.8 degrees to the runway. The base leg itself was 2 nautical miles long and took 83 seconds to complete. The final turn was less than 1 nautical mile in 23 seconds. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 02 from the south, flying at a heading of 11.0 degrees and an altitude of 312 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 02 was successful, with the threshold height being good and the threshold speed slightly below the target at 61 knots. The touchdown distance was 1,020 feet, which is a good distance, and the touchdown speed was 51 knots, also within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate was excellent at -58 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The total landing distance was 1,944 feet, which is 35% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 3 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 11 nautical miles, and the flight used 5 pounds of fuel.
The PA28 Warrior II aircraft successfully landed at KUZA Rock Hill - York County Airport, achieving a score of 99.2%. The final approach was conducted from the south, heading 11.0° at 1 nautical mile and 312 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 02, which has a length of 5,502 feet.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway threshold. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 61 knots. Despite this, the touchdown distance of 1,020 feet was considered good, and the touchdown speed of 51 knots was also within acceptable limits.
The touchdown rate of -58 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, demonstrating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 52°F and a wind speed of 4 knots from 210°.
The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the tailwind component was 4 knots. These conditions did not appear to have a significant impact on the landing. The total landing distance of 1,944 feet was 35% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating that the aircraft maintained its alignment with the runway centerline during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and touchdown phases.
