MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Check your climb speed
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,984 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 692 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The 2.90 G arrival is the firm side of smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 16 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 27 at KBOS Logan International Airport. The takeoff distance was 2,207 feet, which accounted for 32% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 144 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 61°F and a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°. The crosswind was negligible, and the headwind was 1 knot. The aircraft climbed to a height of 11,136 feet above sea level, an increase of 10,062 feet from the initial altitude of 1,074 feet. This climb took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The enroute climb started overhead Boston, Massachusetts, and continued until the aircraft reached a cruising altitude. The enroute level cruise then began 1 mile west of Hull, Massachusetts, and lasted for 43 minutes, covering a distance of 212 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent from 12,000 feet above sea level to 3,987 feet. This descent took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 30 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then started again 1 mile north-west of Camillus, New York, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The aircraft continued its descent, starting from 4,013 feet above sea level to 2,588 feet, a decrease of 1,424 feet in 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles. Another enroute level cruise began 3 miles north of Jordan, New York, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final descent started 1 mile south-west of Village Green, New York, and took the aircraft from 2,233 feet above sea level to 1,339 feet, a decrease of 894 feet in 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 10 at KSYR Syracuse Hancock International Airport from the west, heading 86.0° at 4 nautical miles and 929 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 10 was successful, with a touchdown point 442 feet beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 105 knots, which was slightly faster than the recommended speed. The touchdown rate was hard at -415 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 20 feet from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 59°F and a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°, with a negligible crosswind and a tailwind of 1 knot. The total landing distance was 2,840 feet, which accounted for 32% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 31 feet from the centreline.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took less than 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 281 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 77 minutes. Notably, the aircraft used 0 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation successfully landed at KSYR Syracuse Hancock International Airport, achieving a score of 91.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 86.0° at 4 nautical miles and 929 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a good final approach, maintaining a suitable threshold height and speed of 111 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 442 feet beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is slightly beyond the expected area. The touchdown speed of 105 knots was a bit faster than ideal, and the touchdown rate was hard at -415 feet per minute (fpm). This indicates that the aircraft touched down with a significant amount of deceleration, which may have contributed to the slightly misaligned runway touchdown position, being 20 feet off the centerline.
The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 59°F and a gentle wind of 1 knot from 270°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind and a slight tailwind of 1 knot. The total landing distance of 2,840 feet was 32% of the available runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was slightly off the centerline by 31 feet, indicating a minor deviation from the desired path. Overall, the landing was successful, but there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown speed and touchdown rate to achieve a more precise and controlled touchdown.
