Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,115 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,115 m of the 2,996 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 300 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, then departed from runway 16 at SBCF Tancredo Neves International Airport. The takeoff distance was 2,563 meters, which accounted for 97% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 176 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 18°C and a wind speed of 3 knots at 225°.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb 2 miles northwest of Vespasiano, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The climb took 21 minutes and covered a distance of 130 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 3,591 feet above sea level to 33,501 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,910 feet. The enroute level cruise started 3 miles northeast of SIAB Leda Mello Resende Airport Três Pontas, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 16 nautical miles.
The enroute descent began 3 miles northwest of Eloi Mendes, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and took 24 minutes to descend from 34,009 feet above sea level to 3,740 feet above sea level, a decrease of 30,269 feet. The descent covered a distance of 124 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 10R at SBGR André Franco Montoro International Airport was made from the west, heading 74.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,282 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 10R was successful, with a touchdown distance of 300 meters, which was good. However, the touchdown speed was slightly fast at 148 knots, and the touchdown rate was very heavy at -754 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 3 knots at 225°.
The total landing distance was 2,077 meters, which accounted for 69% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 9 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 280 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 65 minutes. The aircraft used 3,012 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 successfully landed on runway 10R at SBGR André Franco Montoro International Airport, achieving a score of 91.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 74.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,282 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed on the runway with a touchdown distance of 300 meters, which was considered good.
However, there were some minor deviations from the target values during the landing. The threshold height at 59 feet agl was slightly above the target, and the threshold speed was also slightly above the target at 151 knots. Additionally, the touchdown speed of 148 knots was a little fast, and the touchdown rate was very heavy at -754 feet per minute (fpm). Despite these minor deviations, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-aligned with the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 3 knots at 225°. The crosswind was minimal at 1 knot, and the tailwind was 2 knots. These conditions likely contributed to the successful landing.
The total landing distance of 2,077 meters was 69% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This suggests that the aircraft was able to land smoothly and efficiently, with minimal loss of speed and control. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain its alignment with the runway during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to achieve a high score despite some minor deviations from the target values. The combination of precise flying skills, favorable weather conditions, and a well-maintained aircraft all contributed to the successful landing.
