MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,547 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,547 m of the 2,790 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 505 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A320 departed from runway 16 at Zürich Airport, Switzerland, with a takeoff distance of 1,929 meters, which accounted for 60% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 158 knots, with a local temperature of 14°C and a wind of 2 knots at 309°. The departure roll was smooth, and the aircraft quickly gained altitude.
As the aircraft climbed to its initial cruising altitude, it passed over Opfikon, Switzerland, and then leveled off east of Kunten, Switzerland, before beginning another climb to a higher altitude. The aircraft then entered a prolonged level cruise phase, lasting 28 minutes, as it flew over Wembach, Germany. This phase covered a significant distance of 205 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, initially from 22,062 feet above sea level to 11,011 feet, and later from 11,015 feet to 5,226 feet, before entering a final level cruise phase. The descent phases were characterized by a gradual decrease in altitude, with the aircraft eventually beginning its final approach to runway 07L at Frankfurt Airport.
The final approach was executed from the southwest, with the aircraft aligning perfectly with the runway. The touchdown point was 96 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was slightly higher than desired at 129 knots. However, the runway touchdown alignment was excellent, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 1,473 meters, which accounted for 53% of the runway length. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles in 8 minutes. The total flight distance was 464 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 3,872 kilograms of fuel during the flight, which lasted 90 minutes.
The aircraft touched down on runway 07L at EDDF Frankfurt Airport with a threshold speed of 134 kt, meeting the desired standard. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a heading of 69.0° from the south west at 4 nm and 1,263 ft above ground level. The threshold height at 61 ft agl was above the target, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal approach path. However, the touchdown point was 96 m beyond the touchdown zone, which is within acceptable limits.
The touchdown speed of 129 kt was a little fast, resulting in a touchdown rate of -223 fpm, which is fair. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 13 °C and a headwind of 3 kt, did not significantly impact the landing. The total landing distance of 1,473 m, which accounts for 53% of the runway length, is within the acceptable range.
The rollout phase was executed smoothly, with the aircraft maintaining very good alignment on the runway centerline. The overall performance of the landing was satisfactory, with a score of 96.0%. While there were some minor deviations from the ideal approach and touchdown characteristics, the aircraft was well-handled and the landing was completed safely.
