Keep the approach speed on target
Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,524 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 229 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Hahnweide Airfield, the Airbus H145 initiated its departure roll on runway 07, accelerating to liftoff speed of 17 kt within a takeoff distance of 4,488 m, which accounted for 744% of the available runway. The aircraft then transitioned into the enroute climb phase, commencing overhead Nurtingen, where it ascended from 1,204 ft above sea level to 1,922 ft, a gain of 718 ft, in just 1 minute while covering 3 nm.
As the aircraft continued its journey, it entered a level cruise phase, starting overhead Frickenhausen, and maintained a steady altitude for 2 minutes, covering an additional 3 nm. Subsequently, the aircraft initiated another climb phase, this time from 1,942 ft to 3,291 ft, an increase of 1,349 ft, in 2 minutes, while covering 3 nm. The level cruise phase resumed 1 mile south of Roßfeld Airfield, lasting 5 minutes and covering 10 nm. The aircraft then transitioned into the enroute descent phase, starting 3 miles east of Segelfluggelände Farrenberg Mossingen, where it descended from 3,138 ft to 2,654 ft, a decrease of 484 ft, in 2 minutes, while covering less than 1 nm.
The Airbus H145 completed its flight, covering a total distance of 22 nm, utilizing 11 minutes of flight time and consuming 0 kg of fuel. The flight's performance was influenced by the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 25 °C and wind speeds of 19 kt at 335°, resulting in a crosswind of 19 kt and a tailwind of 1 kt.
