MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,804 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,804 m of the 2,990 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 677 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.

Landing on runway 18, which is 3,023 m long, occurred with a threshold speed of 145 kt; touchdown was recorded 263 m beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 140 kt, a vertical rate of minus 186 fpm, and a lateral offset of 3.8 m from the centreline. Local weather at the time was 31 °C with a wind of 5 kt from 230 °, a cross-wind of 4 kt and a head-wind of 3 kt.
The aircraft rolled out a total landing distance of 1,724 m, representing 57 % of the runway, and the rollout alignment was judged very good.

The Boeing 777-300 entered the final approach to runway 18 at VRMM Malé International Airport from the north on a heading of 180.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,277 ft agl. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits.
Threshold height was good and the threshold speed was good at 145 kt. The aircraft crossed the threshold and the touchdown point was 263 m beyond the touchdown zone.
Touchdown speed was 140 kt, noted as a little fast, and the touchdown rate was good at minus 186 fpm. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.8 m from centreline.
Total landing distance was 1,724 m, representing 57 % of the 3,023 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was very good. Local weather was 31 °C with wind 5 kt from 230°, including a 4 kt crosswind and a 3 kt headwind.
Reduce the touchdown speed slightly to bring it closer to the target threshold speed and tighten the centreline tracking to eliminate the 3.8 m offset, which will further improve the already strong score of 95.8 %.
