MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,797 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,797 m of the 2,446 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 560 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving a fantastic aircraft landing score of 97.0%! Your performance during each phase of the landing process was impressive and demonstrates your skill and precision as a pilot.
During the Approach Phase, you maintained good glideslope alignment, which is essential for a smooth descent towards the runway. While your speed was slightly below target, it shows your attentiveness to maintaining control and ensuring a safe landing.
Moving onto the Landing Phase, you displayed excellent judgment in managing the threshold height and executed a very good landing flare. This indicates your ability to make critical decisions in real-time to ensure a successful touchdown.
In the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was exceptional, and you maintained the correct speed for a safe and controlled landing. Although you touched down slightly beyond the designated touchdown zone, your overall performance was still commendable. Additionally, the deviation from the runway centreline was minimal, showcasing your accuracy in aligning the aircraft during this crucial phase.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was slightly off by 5.6 m from the centreline. While there is room for improvement in this aspect, it does not overshadow the overall quality of your landing.
Overall, your performance was exemplary, and your dedication to precision and safety shines through in each phase of the landing process. Keep up the great work, and continue to strive for excellence in your future flights. Well done!
