Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,233 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 431 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A319, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, taking 11 minutes and covering a distance of 3 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 30, with the aircraft lifting off after a takeoff distance of 1,708 meters, which was 52% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 151 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 18°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots blowing from a direction of 130°. This resulted in a tailwind of 6 knots, which would have a positive effect on the aircraft's performance. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead the town of Sencur in Slovenia, where it climbed from an altitude of 2,301 feet above sea level to 19,315 feet above sea level, an increase of 17,014 feet in just 7 minutes, covering a distance of 34 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise phase of the flight began 1 mile south east of the town of Pivka in Slovenia and lasted for 46 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 244 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent, beginning 2 miles west of the town of Masone in Liguria, Italy. The descent took place from an altitude of 19,861 feet above sea level to 2,178 feet above sea level, a decrease of 17,684 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 58 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 36 at Turin Airport was made from the south, with the aircraft heading 3.0° at an altitude of 1,211 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 2,233 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was also good at 122 knots, and the touchdown distance was 427 meters, which was good. The touchdown speed was 113 knots, and the touchdown rate was firm at -300 feet per minute.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 17°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots blowing from a direction of 230°. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 3 knots. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 5.7 meters, and the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 8.1 meters from the centreline.
The total landing distance was 1,101 meters, which was 49% of the runway length. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 345 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 75 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 3,399 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at LIMF Turin Airport, achieving a score of 95.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 3.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,211 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed smoothly on runway 36, which has a length of 2,233 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed of 122 knots was also within the acceptable range. The touchdown distance of 427 meters was also good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable approach and touchdown. The touchdown speed of 113 knots was also within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -300 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, indicating a controlled descent.
However, there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing performance. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.7 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight drift or crosswind effect. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 17°C and a wind speed of 4 knots at 230°, were relatively calm, with a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 3 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,101 meters was 49% of the runway length, which is within the acceptable range. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.1 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight drift or overcorrection during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, with some minor deviations from the ideal performance.
