Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,360 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 395 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was operated by a Boeing 737-700 aircraft, which began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway at SAZT Héroes De Malvinas Airport. This process took approximately 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 01, with a takeoff distance of 725 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was recorded at 137 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 19°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 4°. This resulted in a headwind of 6 knots, with no crosswind component. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, which started overhead SAZT Héroes De Malvinas Airport in Tandil, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,562 feet above sea level to 38,959 feet, an increase of 37,397 feet, in 34 minutes and covering a distance of 262 nautical miles.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which began 14 miles east of Sarandi Grande in Departamento de Florida, Uruguay. This phase lasted for 164 minutes and covered a distance of 937 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent, which began 13 miles south of SB4P Lavras Lavras in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 39,189 feet to 3,685 feet, a decrease of 35,504 feet, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 113 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 13 at SBBH Pampulha - Carlos Drummond de Andrade Airport was made from the west, with a heading of 111.0°. The aircraft was at an altitude of 1,093 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 26°C, with a wind speed of 2 knots from a direction of 20°. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and no headwind component.
The landing was successful, with a touchdown speed of 122 knots and a touchdown rate of -187 feet per minute. The touchdown distance was 398 meters, which was 39% of the runway length. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 3.3 meters. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the aircraft was able to taxi to the parking area in just 1 minute, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
Overall, the flight was completed in 167 minutes, covering a total distance of 1,318 nautical miles and using 6,902 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 737-700 aircraft successfully landed at SBBH Pampulha - Carlos Drummond de Andrade Airport, achieving a high score of 99.7%. The final approach to runway 13 was conducted from the west, with a heading of 111.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,093 feet above ground level.
The aircraft's performance during the landing was impressive, with a good threshold height and speed of 132 knots. The touchdown distance of 398 meters was also within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 122 knots was well-controlled. The touchdown rate of -187 feet per minute was also satisfactory, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
However, there was a slight deviation from the centerline, with the runway touchdown position being 3.3 meters off-center. This minor discrepancy did not seem to affect the overall performance of the aircraft, and the pilot was able to maintain control throughout the landing.
The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 26°C and a gentle wind of 2 knots at 20°. The crosswind component was minimal, at 1 knot, and there was no headwind. These conditions likely contributed to the smooth and controlled landing.
The total landing distance of 917 meters was 39% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This indicates that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop quickly, with minimal use of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, suggesting that the pilot was able to maintain control and direction throughout the landing.
Overall, the landing of the Boeing 737-700 at SBBH Pampulha - Carlos Drummond de Andrade Airport was a success, with the aircraft performing well in a variety of areas. The minor deviation from the centerline was the only notable issue, but it did not seem to affect the overall outcome of the landing.
