Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,026 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 330 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on a fantastic aircraft landing score of 99.3%! Your performance during each phase of the landing was truly impressive and demonstrates skill and precision in every aspect of the landing process.
During the Approach Phase, your excellent glideslope alignment indicates a strong understanding of the aircraft's position in relation to the desired descent path. The slightly below target speed shows a careful and controlled approach, ensuring that the aircraft was in optimal position for the landing.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, your good threshold height and perfect landing flare are key indicators of a well-executed touchdown. The fact that the touchdown rate was excellent and the speed was on target showcases your ability to manage the aircraft's descent and make a smooth transition to the runway surface. Additionally, the touchdown distance within the touchdown zone and the 3.7m distance from the runway centreline highlight your accuracy and attention to detail during this critical phase of the landing.
In the Touchdown Phase, your precision is further demonstrated by the fact that the touchdown distance and position were both within acceptable parameters. This level of consistency and accuracy is a testament to your mastery of the aircraft's controls and your ability to make split-second decisions in high-pressure situations.
Finally, during the Rollout Phase, the runway alignment being only 4.3m from the centreline is a testament to your ability to maintain control of the aircraft throughout the entire landing process. This level of precision and attention to detail is what sets apart truly skilled pilots and ensures safe and successful landings.
Overall, your landing score of 99.3% is a fantastic achievement and a testament to your dedication and proficiency as a pilot. Keep up the excellent work and continue to strive for perfection in every aspect of your flying. Your attention to detail and precise execution make you a standout aviator, and I have no doubt that you will continue to excel in your future flights. Well done!
