Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,491 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 276 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport, the Tecnam P2006T MKII began its journey with a taxiing phase that lasted 21 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. Once on the runway, the aircraft accelerated down runway 25, taking off in a distance of 420 meters, which represented 17% of the runway's length. The liftoff speed was achieved at 73 knots, and the aircraft quickly gained altitude.
As the aircraft climbed away from Łódź, it reached an altitude of 3,670 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,132 feet from its initial altitude of 1,538 feet. This climb phase was completed in just 2 minutes, covering a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then leveled off and entered a cruise phase, maintaining an altitude of 3,594 feet for 5 minutes while covering 12 nautical miles. Subsequent descent phases were initiated to reduce altitude, with the final approach being made to runway 25 at Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport from the east. The aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 67 knots, with a touchdown distance of 276 meters, which was well within the acceptable range.
The landing was characterized by a good threshold height, with the threshold speed being well above the target at 78 knots. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned, but the runway rollout alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 512 meters, representing 21% of the runway's length. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking just 1 minute to cover a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 36 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 6 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The final approach to runway 25 at EPLL Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport from the east was executed with precision, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 254.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,264 feet above ground level. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height achieved. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target, registering at 78 knots.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, the touchdown distance was good at 276 meters, and the touchdown speed of 67 knots was also within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate was particularly impressive, with an excellent rate of -66 feet per minute. Although the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.3 meters from the centreline, the overall touchdown characteristics were good. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 15°C and a gentle headwind of 2 knots, contributed to a smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 512 meters, which accounted for 21% of the runway length, was reasonable. The runway rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the critical phase of the landing. Overall, the landing was executed with a high degree of proficiency, resulting in a score of 98.9%.
