Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,434 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 444 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport (SMJP) in Paramaribo, Suriname, the Boeing 737-600 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. As the aircraft lined up on runway 11, it was cleared for departure, and with a takeoff distance of 851 meters, which accounted for 24% of the runway, the aircraft lifted off at a speed of 138 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 28°C, a wind speed of 4 knots from 85°, resulting in a 4-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed out of Paramaribo, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile east of the airport and continued for 36 minutes, covering a distance of 275 nautical miles. The aircraft climbed from an initial altitude of 1,056 feet above sea level to a cruising altitude of 39,600 feet, an increase of 38,543 feet. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted 76 minutes and covered 585 nautical miles. The cruise phase was followed by a descent, which started 56 miles southwest of Middle Island, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and lasted 27 minutes, covering 194 nautical miles. The aircraft descended from 39,994 feet to 2,204 feet, a decrease of 37,790 feet.
After a brief level cruise phase near Bayamon, Puerto Rico, the aircraft began its final approach to runway 10 at Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (TJSJ). The approach was made from the west, with a heading of 90.0°, and the aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 124 knots, slightly above the target speed. The touchdown distance was 443 meters, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. Following a smooth rollout, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took approximately 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,068 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 6,474 kilograms of fuel during the flight, which lasted 147 minutes.
The Boeing 737-600 touched down on runway 10 at TJSJ Luis Munoz Marin International Airport with a smooth touchdown rate of -138 fpm, indicating a well-executed approach. The aircraft's touchdown speed of 124 kt was slightly above the target, but still within acceptable limits. The touchdown distance of 443 m was good, considering the available runway length of 2,442 m. The threshold height was good, allowing the pilots to maintain a safe margin above the runway surface.
As the aircraft rolled out, it maintained perfect alignment with the centreline, a testament to the pilots' skill and attention to detail. The total landing distance of 869 m, which accounted for 36% of the runway, was within acceptable limits. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 33 °C and a gentle headwind of 3 kt, did not pose any significant challenges to the landing. The crosswind component of 6 kt from the right was well-handled by the pilots, who maintained a stable approach and touchdown.
The overall performance of the landing was impressive, with a score of 99.6%. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a smooth touchdown rate. The pilots' ability to maintain centreline alignment during the rollout phase was particularly noteworthy, demonstrating their expertise and attention to detail. The landing was a credit to the pilots' skill and experience, and a testament to the aircraft's capabilities.
