MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Reduce power earlier on final to bleed speed back to 121 kt before crossing the threshold.
What happened: You crossed the threshold at 132 kt, 11 kt above the 121 kt target.
Watch for: Airspeed, targeting 121 kt at the threshold.
See Arrival Landing
Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,298 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 450 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Baghdad International Airport / New Al Muthana Air Base, the Boeing 737-600 began its journey with a taxiing period of six minutes, covering a distance of two nautical miles to reach the runway. The aircraft then took off from runway 33R, utilizing 2,501 meters, or 63% of the runway's length, to achieve liftoff at a speed of 134 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of seven knots from a direction of 310 degrees, resulting in a headwind component of seven knots.
As the aircraft climbed to its enroute cruise altitude, it ascended from 1,104 feet above sea level to 39,581 feet, a vertical increase of 38,478 feet, over a distance of 302 nautical miles, in 41 minutes. The enroute climb phase concluded one mile north of Baghdad International Airport, marking the beginning of the cruise phase. The aircraft then entered a level cruise, lasting 163 minutes, during which it covered a distance of 1,161 nautical miles. The descent phase commenced two miles northeast of Donji Miholjac, Croatia, and the aircraft descended from 39,611 feet to 2,521 feet above sea level, a vertical decrease of 37,091 feet, over a distance of 161 nautical miles, in 23 minutes.
The final approach to runway 30 at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport was conducted from the southeast, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 306.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,274 feet above ground level, four nautical miles from the runway. The landing was executed with a touchdown speed of 124 knots, slightly above the target speed, but the touchdown rate of -5 feet per minute was perfect. The total landing distance of 1,162 meters, or 35% of the runway's length, was well within acceptable limits. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in one minute, covering a distance of less than one nautical mile. The total flight distance of 1,632 nautical miles was completed in 236 minutes, with the aircraft consuming 9,606 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 737-600 touched down on runway 30 at LJLJ Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport with a score of 99.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south east, heading 306.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,274 feet above ground level. The final approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed that was well above the target at 133 knots. This allowed for a controlled descent and a smooth touchdown.
The aircraft touched down at a speed of 124 knots, which was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -5 feet per minute was perfect. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The touchdown distance of 453 meters was good, and the total landing distance of 1,162 meters, which was 35% of the runway length, was also satisfactory. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 29°C and a wind of 2 knots at 89°, contributed to a stable and predictable approach.
The rollout phase was equally impressive, with perfect alignment on the runway centerline. The aircraft maintained a steady speed and direction, coming to a stop within a short distance. Overall, the landing was a success, with the aircraft performing well within the expected parameters. The score of 99.6% reflects the high level of proficiency demonstrated by the crew during the approach, touchdown, and rollout phases.
